Stop now!

  • There's too much good to say about September thus far to spoil it by playing more games. We're undefeated, woo hoo! Too bad the good vibes are going to be completely blown out of the water tonight.

With Grady taking no chances with Pedro's sore groin, Lt Frank will take the hill instead. I'm taking bets on this one. How long before the Sox are down 5-0? I'm going with the 3rd.

  • For the rest of the month here's how I see things having to shape up if we want to make the post season. The following is a very unreasonable request to make of this team, especially when considering the last three months of spoon fed crap we've been getting on a daily basis. But we're all unreasonable fans, and it's time for this team to make due with some reasonable play.

Two in New York - Need a split
Four vs the Jays - 3 of 4
    Four in Tampa - Sweep
    Three vs Os - 2 of 3
    Four vs Tribe - 3 of 4
    Four in Baltimore - Split
    Three in Chicago - 2 of 3
Three vs D Rays - Sweep

The above with give us a 21-8 record for the month of September and a 97-65 record for the season. Will it be enough? It should be with the hell schedule the Ms and Halos have to finish the season, lets all hope Oakland stays hot. Is there any reason to believe that the Sox will go on a tear like this? No, but their schedule to finish the season is set up so that they pretty much can't help but play better.
