Our whole damn pen is full of 1 and 2 innings pitchers, and asking them to go beyond that is plain dumb. Even after two runners got on base in the ninth, there was still nobody warming up in the pen. What the heck? I'm not real big on jumping on the manager, I'm a big believer in 'the players have to perform' school of thought. But there are some situations where the manager needs to get ripped, and this was certainly one of them for Grady. Have the Sox had a feel good win at all so far? A win where the offense clicked and the pitching was solid? Ten games in, we're 6-4, but it feels like 1-9. |
