Now that was nice

  • I only saw the late inning come back last night and missed all the early inning excitment (softball game). I did see the replay, and I think there was a level of intent on that pitch Casey threw behind Ibanez. Though I'm suprised there was no warning given, even though the ump doesn't have to issue one. Seemed like alot of BS to me.

But besides that, last night was a good solid come-from-behind victory. Lyon even looked like a legit closer out there in the ninth. What's going on?

Obviously the greatest asset this team has is that the opposition can never take a break anywhere in the batting order. I realize that Ortiz and Giambi are stinking it up right now, but they are both known to be decent/good hittets, and thus assumed to not be an easy out.

It's not like in the past where once we get to the 7,8,9 hitters, you go and get a sandwich for the next frame becasue you know it's a give away inning. That's not to say we won't get shut down on any given night, but it's alot less likely to happen.

Three against the Twins for the weekend before replaying this part of the schedule, but in KC and Minnesota respectively. Unless you're in Tampa Bay road games are never easy, need atleast two of three in this series.
