I was born in Uxbridge, Hillingdon, England on 20th June 1980. Which means I'm a Gemini. The horoscope says that Geminis are clever, witty, got great sense of humor but can have 2 different personalities, and can be outspoken and be really blunt like me!
My favorite quote is
"treat others as the way you want to be treated as"
I hope you all agree with this, as I know some people don't!

I was born profoundly deaf, and the doctors don't know why. I've been wearing special aids called, hearing aids since I was two. My parents sent me to Heathlands, which uses sign language. I stayed in Heathlands for eight years, and after that I went to Mary Hare Grammar School for the deaf in 1991.

Hearing aid

This is the BSL sign. This is the basic, you can easily learn how to fingerspell your name. Hope you'll all find this interesting to learn. This was my first language. I learnt how to speak when I was five. My first word was 'dadda'. For those who don't know how I communicate with hearing people, I can lipread well, which means I can read people's lips. I know it sounds strange, but most deaf people can lipread.

Mary Hare Grammar School was an oral school for the deaf which means it doesn't use sign language to teach pupils. Also it's a boarding school, which is how I became independent. As I left home when I was eleven and ever since I've always have been independent.

I stayed in Mary Hare from the age of eleven until I was eighteen. In Mary Hare I studied GCSEs, my results were:-

Business Studies - A
Child Development - B
History - B
Religious Studies - B
Speaking - B
Maths - C
English - C
Science (Double Award) - C
Science (Double Award) - C

Then I did Business Studies Advanced GNVQ during my sixth form, and I achieved Distinction. After Mary Hare, I moved to San Jose, California, USA.

I studied in Ohlone College, Fremont. It was a hearing College, which was a big impact for me, as I had to get used to the fact that I was in a new country with a new lifestyle. I have never been to a school or college that was full of hearing people. At first I hated it because I missed my friends from Mary Hare, because they were like my second family, as we all lived together for seven years. But eventually I got used to my new lifestyle. In Ohlone there was about 200 deaf students out of 10,000 hearing students who attends, but I had lots of problems communicating with them. This was because I didn't know how to sign in American sign language. So I learnt ASL for one year, so I could make some deaf friends. In Ohlone I did lots of different courses there; ASL (American Sign Language), Website Design, Graphics Design, C++, Biology, Chemistry and lots of Maths and English.  My results were:-

 Math (Algebra 1)   - B
ASL - A
English (Fundamental of Composition 1)  - B
Computing (Computer Graphics) - A
Math (Algebra 2)  - A
ASL 2 - A
English (Fundamental and Composition 2) - C
Computing (Intro to Programming) - B
English (Reading and Writing)  - C
Math (Trigonometry) - C
Computing (Website Design) - A
Biology (Intro to Biology) - B
Math (Pre-Calculus) - B
English (Reading/Composition) - C

I stayed there for two years. Then I changed my career from Business to Computers. At first I decided to go to University in LA or New York, but that was a flight away from my home in San Jose. I thought it would be better if I came to England where I knew some people already and I know my way around England well. If I went to LA or New York it'll be even harder as I've never been there and I don't know the area or any people at all.
