Numbers in Indian

Naarad Puraan, p 242]
In Indian system
numbers increase in two except the first hundred, which is in three (one
hundred); while in western system they increase in hundreds throughout
the writings.
These numbers may be
added or subtracted from unit side or from the other side, the addition
and subtraction will be the same if the units are added or subtracted to
units and tens are added or subtracted to tens etc.
Most of texts
including Mathematics texts in Sanskrit define "Arbud' as 10 Crore
