The Indian mathematician Aaryabhatt (476-556 AD) is credited with inventing Zero, designing its shape and also designing numbers 1 through 9. The shapes of these Indian numbers have been adopted internationally with minor variations. Thus two remarkable inventions of Hindoo people revolutionized the world. The concept of Zero and its placement - use of one Zero to enhance the value of the number ten times and the use of two Zeros to hundred times and so on. This invention is more brilliant than most inventions that have ever taken place. If this has not been there, there have been no computers. Even though the Arabs in their writings acknowledged more than once that they learnt this system from the Hindoo people, the European called these numbers Arabic numerals just because they learnt them from the Arabs
