And now for the next episode in the Tales of Pauline (aka: the Peugeot). The last time our heroine was about to be taken away. We join the action with Pauline in the grasp of a brutish man who is saying, “RePete is not here now! Your are going to be stripped...and when I am done...you will be new!!” Where is RePete? Can this be true? Has his loyal and trusted companion been taken away forever? How can this have happened? Well...the truth is that my long time and trusted steed has been repainted! The Peugeot was purchased in 1986 and has served me well. The original black finish has been replaced by a dark metallic gray that fades into a rich, vibrant metallic red. My thanks to Bruce Risely at “The Color Factory” for the great finish. Anyone interested in having their cycle repainted...give Bruce a call at telephone #1 (800) 62 - GLEAM. He is in Waretown, New Jersey and does the job at a reasonable price. My cost was $155.43 and included bead blasting, two colors, clear coat, decal applications and shipping. Single colors are less expensive while a third color would have cost only $10 additional.
Thanks also go to Patrick Ypperciel at Pro Cycle for providing those nifty Peugeot decals. I had almost given up on obtaining replacements when he telephoned. Not only did I get my decals but also found out that Peugeot is alive and well...dealerships are being considered to re-entry into the United States.
Testing of the software for recording and charting individual performance is continuing...watch for an announcement in the next release!!
