Hi. Being but a lay person I would humbly request your wisdom regarding the matter of made lunch.
Q1/
According to Choo J
"Thus, from the definitions set out above, I am of the opinion that bringing "merely" a mandarin, or, any other type of fruit for that matter, does not constitute "making a lunch". However, should that fruit have been cut into pieces, such as in a fruit salad, I believe it would constitute a "made lunch" as it satisfies the above definition."
Upon thinking about this I considered...
Would bringing "merely" a mandarin to uni but subsequently peeling it and breaking it into pieces constitute making a fruit salad, which happened only to contain mandarin, and thus a "made" lunch?
Q2/
Recently I have been frequenting the lower area of the collonade which has a sandwhich bar. At this retailer one may "make" one's own sandwich(s) from raw materials provided. This sandwich which I have put together myself I then purchase.
i) The sandwich toppings are not cut up by me.
ii) I have to select toppings and bread, assemble and wrap the product.
iii) At the final purchase the sandwich is already complete.
Does this constitute having a "made" or "bought" lunch?
