All Mr. Peczon could have done was visit each of the free hosts, read and understand their respective page content guidelines, terms and conditions or at least contacted a knowledgeable person before writing his article.
At this juncture, I believe a public apology is the right thing to do. That article tarnished the image of the <LINK> that I used to know. Also Peczon put the Community Leaders in a bad light. Most of these volunteers are very good at their job: helping homesteaders move-in, reporting violations and improving a virtual community. And most, if not all, homesteaders under our assigned blocks look up to CLs as their friends, and not as Gestapo-like individuals whose only existence is to report violations.
I also hope that in the future similar articles would not pass unchecked as to accuracy and veracity of information offered before the editors' prying eyes and red pen.
