REY ADEL & DIOMA'S POETRY
ANTHOLOGY OF POEMLETS:
FROM THE CROWD

Cold shivers down my spine.
I walked the length of the boulevard
Stepping into this world full of lights
The mercury lamps on posts.
Striking me to cast eerie shadows
Across the dirty sidewalk.
Yet, the light can't keep me warm
And though my coat is thick
The coldness seeped into my bones.
Now, I realized that I should
Not have left the crowd.
Here I am: alone and cold.
Believing I could conquer the world.
