I would like to dedicate this page to all the animals of the world, large and small, those that are loved but especially to those that are not.


For all of those who know me you already know my feelings about animals. For those of you who don't I hope you will take a minute to read my page and hopefully you will realize just how wonderful animals are! Since I have a small menagerie of pets in my household ,10 cats and one dog, I have a very special attachment for all of our four and two legged friends. And they ARE our friends. Since I do have such special and deep feelings for them I felt compelled to make and dedicate this site to them. I believe that animals are a very precious gift to all of us and we must protect them from those that choose to believe that because we are superior to them that we can abuse them.

I don't consider myself a fanatic about animal rights, but I do believe that animals DO have rights, for it IS their world too.

One of the reasons for animal abuse is just too many unwanted animals, a result of of the failure to spay and neuter our household pets. If you do have a puppy or kitten, please have it spayed or neutered. Check with your local animal shelters and veteranarians for special spay/neuter programs in your area. A good example of this is in our city where there is a very good spay/neuter program sponsored by our local Animal Shelter and a local veterinarian that consists of spaying or neutering and complete immunization for $50. This is specially designed for low income or multi-pet families. Your city or county may have a similar program too. We all must MAKE the effort to keep the overpopulation problem to a minimum.

Another reason some puppies and dogs are abandoned or not wanted anymore is because they like to chew. I'm sure anyone that has owned a puppy has come home or woke up only to find their favorite pair of shoes chewed up! But this too can be remedied with the proper training. ***Seasonal Alert !! With the cold weather approaching please do NOT leave anti-freeze accessible to animals. Ingestion of anti-freeze by cats or dogs is sure death. There is no antidote for it. Or please use the "animal friendly" low toxic anti- freeze. Ingestion will cause nausea but not death. ****
