Dancing for the Pleasure of Men

"Dance your body, Slave," I told her, "to the guests of Samos." Angrily the girl, man by man, slowly, meaningfully, danced her beauty to each guest. They struck tables, and cried out. More than one reached to clutch her but each time, swiftly, she moved back. The dancer continued to move before the low tables. The eyes of the men gleamed. Before each man, for moments seemingly his alone, she danced her beauty. Tribesmen of Gor, pg. 28, by John Norman

Dancing is one of the most difficult things for kajira/kajirus to learn. It takes time and practice to learn to dance within the online realm of Gor. This guide to the dances found in the books of John Norman was put together in the hopes that one would have a place to go to to learn of the dances of Gor and to help the new ones learn to dance. A girl hopes her experience will help others to come to learn and love the art of dancing.

Eventually, this guide will contain exmples of each of the dances in the index below. It will also contain dances not found, as of yet... still reading *saucy wink*, by this one and her beautiful sisters.

If you are still reading, chances are good that you have a genuine interest in learning to dance. As she said before, it takes much practice to become a good dancer. The effort is well worth the end result if you care at all about bringing pleasure to the one/ones you serve.

Many of the examples of dances you will see are dances that were written then performed at a later date. Some of us, though, have learned to dance impromtu (i.e., no prepration, one just gets up and goes with the flow). In either situation, it is important to set the mood to make it conducive to dancing. rheena, that's this one *waves and smiles impishly*, rarely does prepared dances any longer, but then again she is red silk. Red silks in thier training, learn and perform each of the dances before being awarded reds.

The best advice one can give you about dancing...

1. Begin by studying the dance you will dance
2. Learn the different components and transitions
3. Take time to think about the dance
4. Find some music that fits the mood you wish to convey in your dance
5. Begin to feel your way through the dance, not writing yet...
6. One of the most important steps, especially inportant when dancing at the spur of the moment, let your emotions run free
7. As you begin to put your dance to words, close you eyes for a moment, think of a Master, your Master, or *impish smile* lots of Masters... or Mistress(es) as the case may be
8. Do not worry about typos or content with the first draft of your dance, just type...
9. When you have written the first rough copy, put it away for a day>
10. Then go back and edit
