I live in the Midwest. Today was the first "spring-like" day, with temperatures hovering right around 50 degrees. The Lord sent me out on an errand, and while driving He kept pointing out all the youths that were out and about. Many were just hanging around, not doing much of anything. They actually were ALL hanging around, not doing much of anything...all over the city.

There is a remnant of kids who have met Jesus Christ and now live for Him daily. The ones the Lord has introduced into my life in Him are pretty radically in love with Him. But today, the Lord wasn't speaking of those that are already His...today He was speaking unto me about those who are CALLED to be His...the ones the enemy is trying to destroy.

The enemy is longing to wipe out an entire generation.

The Lord has blessed me with two children. One is 19, the other 16. The Lord has also had me mentoring and taking care of children for 17 years. In 2001 the Lord poured forth a special anointing for me through one of His prophets. The prophet, more seasoned at the time, received it on my behalf then imparted it unto me. It was an anointing specifically for the youth.

One thing that the Lord has pointed out to me about this generation of kids (18 and under) is their tremendous neglect. We were blessed with our home in 1989 (my daughter almost 3, my son 4 months); it is in an apartment complex where people's rent is according to their income. Some have considerable worldly wealth. Others have little. What became immediately apparant, and that was hard to comprehend, was the lack of wanting to be a parent by the parents themselves (no matter what their level of income or lack thereof).

Every summer, when school was over for the year, the neighborhood children were literally put outside to play at sunrise and were not allowed to return home until dark. If they went home any sooner, they would surely receive a beating. All day long these children were outside, no matter what the circumstances or climate - with no food, no drink, no supervision. I cannot begin to tell you how many children I'd see squatting out in the playground, urinating through their clothing...because needing to use the bathroom just wasn't a good enough reason to go home.

The property management didn't care. Child protective services didn't care.
NO ONE CARED...BUT GOD!

And so He commissioned me to bring them in - feeding them, teaching them, giving them something fresh and clean to wear. They loved it here - we kept a wading pool in the back yard for the hot summer days, and inside their favorite thing was our big old upright piano, which they all loved to play. We also offered them lots of toys and lots of books and art supplies...the Lord's door here was always open - whether you needed a glass of ice cold Kool-aid or a potty break. It did not matter...it was all done as unto the Lord.

As these kids grew up, you could see what the lack of love and attention from their parents did to them. Most ended up in some sort of trouble - either vandelism or violence, gang life or drugs - their home life was just so harsh that nothing mattered or seemed to make any difference with them. They appreciated that which they received here from the Lord...but when you desperately long for the love of your parent, it's second best if that. And the Lord had me take many of them to church - a lot of them even gave their lives to Jesus. But then no one in the church reached out to them...the prophet there even admonished the men of the church to become surrogate fathers to them all. But NOT ONE seemed to be able to make the time to be the Lord's hands and heart in any of these kids lives.

Scripturally, when one received the Lord then falls away, they can expect seven times the enemy's attack and results thereof. I can verify that that is exactly what happened. Not one of these kids escaped the Juvenile Jail. Not one girl (except my daughter) escaped pregnancy. NOT ONE.

My son is currently 16 and has a different group of friends. None of them live here - they all come from families with significant worldly material wealth, and all live in "exclusive" neighborhoods.

Is there a difference between the children who were from poverty vs the kids from wealth and the way their parents treat them?

NONE. In both scenarios and in ALL CASES the kids were considered a burden - somethng that got in the way of the lives that the parents had planned out for themselves.

Besides lack of love, the Lord showed me something else these children shared in common: BOREDOM. The Lord shows it to me everywhere. Even when I came home today - teens were just sitting on the curb out in the parking lot, nothing to do. It seems to be the common answer, no matter what age, or who I ask: "How are you today?" "Bored."

So I asked the Lord about this...about why this is. He said unto me, "All were created to be mine - thus without Me, their existence seems empty and meaningless. If they lived in Me as I have planned, they would be fellowshiping with Me, praying, worshipping, or doing Godly works for My Kingdom. But without Me, the enemy comes in and entices them either to do nothing, or to do things that they THINK will fill up their longing for Me - but cannot."

What are they being enticed with? Drugs, alcohol. Bulemia/anorexia. Demonic music. Sex. Many break the law and think nothing of lying, stealing, vandelism. Many harm themselves by doing things like cutting their skin with razor blades - because 'it feels better than the pain inside'.

The Father says He is holding us accountable.

You might argue, "There aren't enough hours in the day to take on these kids."

REALLY?

When we stand before His throne, how well do you think THAT excuse will hold up...."But...but...I just didn't have TIME Lord..."

Our days are supposed to be HIS DAYS. If we were truly dead to self, we would ask God each and every day, "What's on YOUR agenda for ME today, Lord?"

"But...but...I have to work."

REALLY?

Did the Lord SAY you HAVE to work?

"But...but...how will I pay the bills?"

Well, God says if you depend on your job for your provision, then your job is your God - your idol. Because God says, "I SHALL PROVIDE ALL YOUR NEEDS..."

How many brethren do you know personally who live their lives beliving God 100% the time to provide for 100% their needs?

The point the Lord is trying to make here is there are no acceptable excuses for those who love Him to not make time to bring Jesus to the lives of the lost and hurting youth of not just America but also the world. Do you realize that if every Christian adult took on one kid to mentor it would be MORE THAN ENOUGH?

Ah....but that takes having the heart of the Father, and devoting your entire life unto that which matters ONLY unto Him. Truly, how much do you think megachurch buildings with movie theaters and shopping malls matter unto Almighty God? What about all the meetings? Conferences? Committees? Classes? Godly works? - when weighed against/compared to a human life? Why do you think the Lord spoke forth that there would always be poor folks on earth? Because He knew that - while it was His perfect will and plan for US to feed them and not only with literal food but also to feed them with His word and His truths - it wouldn't happen. It COULD happen. And it MUST happen - because He is calling for a Bride without spot, wrinkle or blemish. And for Her to LOOK like THAT, she is going to have to LOOK LIKE HIM! Her heart, her deeds, her compassion MUST BE HIS HEART, HIS DEEDS, HIS COMPASSION...."...and even greater works than these..." !!!

Has anyone seen them - those GREATER WORKS yet?
After 2006 years isn't it time that we do?

It's TIME to step up to the plate. All Christians, but especially MEN OF GOD, these kids need father role-models. How are kids supposed to know how great it is to have a heavenly Father when their earthly fathers have either ignored them, hurt them, or abandoned them? Imagine telling a kid who was sodomized by his earthly father, "There is a Father in heaven who loves you...." He would have NO WAY TO GRASP that concept because he would equate "father" with "pain" or "shame".

Why do you think God took so many (who are now adults) out of lives of drugs, gangs, incest, crime and turned their lives around? SO THAT THEY WOULD HAVE COMPASSION - SO THAT THEY COULD RELATE! The Lord has allowed me to mentor teens who were locked up. They all laugh at the concept of worldly therapists helping them (which is what happens in lockup - you get a counsellor who tries to rehabilitate you)....the kids ALL SAY, "They can't help me because they don't KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE - they don't KNOW WHERE I'VE BEEN."

What did our Heavenly Father rescue YOU from?

"Suffer the children to come unto me...." saith the Lord. "For satan cannot have this generation. I AM calling all who claim to be my own - do you care about what I care about? Then go out and reach the lost - the orphans, the fatherless, the hurting boys and girls, for they are a chosen generation, called for such a time as this from before the foundations of the earth. They shall no longer be termed "FORSAKEN" for I delight in them and they SHALL walk according to My purposes! They are called to be a generation consumed by Me, with a prevailing faith so determined, so sure in Me that they shall go forth for My glory NO MATTER WHAT lies ahead of them! For the greatest days of evil this world has ever known is on the horizon - who will go and get those who are mine before it is too late? WILL YOU GO? Ask of Me and I will show you how. Ask of Me and I shall provide for all of your needs. Yea I shall bless those who go forth on behalf of My righteous justice. Yea you shall go forth in My favor," saith Almighty God. "Go and get My Children, My faithful warriors, " saith the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
