The Lord has me studying Ezekiel. When I say "studying", I mean STUDYING...digging in...where even one chapter can take months and months. As it is right now He has permitted me to read chapter 1 but He also has me studying ABOUT the book itself (He has put amazing study tools/guides into my hands hallelujah). Early this morning (about 2:36 A.M.) He was speaking to me about Ezekiel himself and how many thought he was really really weird. This particular study guide went on to speak of the recurrent themes in the book of Ezekiel, the first of which relates to the character of God (and what they called the otherness of God).
In that Ezekiel was a priest, obviously He was most concerned with God's holiness. HOLINESS is a word that expresses a relationship with the root meaning "qodosh" which means, "To be separate". For Ezekiel it involved being CUT OFF FROM ORDINARY RELATIONSHIPS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SERVING A 'PECULIAR' (PARTICULAR) FUNCTION, of being one BELONGING TO GOD, THE HOLY ONE.
Holy Spirit caused me to pause and really soak in this - I asked for deep revelation of walking in this Holiness, royally approved by GOD HIMSELF (while rejected by man virtually all of the time) - my heart cry becoming FILL ME, INFUSE ME with this knowing of being UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY SET APART FOR YOU AND ONLY YOU - (2:37 a.m.) For this has been my walk for 23 years...HIS. And yet the depths of being HIS is deeper than we can perhaps comprehend, but He reveals it layer by layer as we surrender and submit unto Him and Him alone, not caring about the people of the world and of the flesh.
Holy Spirit then began to show me more:
He said "There are people who are saved and should LONG to be set apart and only want Jesus but who instead want other people. They may think it is a NEED but it s a fleshly want - for man needs only God.
And THEN there are CHOSEN VESSELS who DO WANT ONLY HIM. (2:38 a.m.)
He said that you cannot want both - not if you are one who has been chosen for THIS PARTICULARLY HIGH CALLING OF ROYAL PRIESTHOOD.
And those of us who are called to be His - who were created to be all things only for HIM, we will never understand the need of those who crave human fleshly individuals because we see it as compromise for not wanting ONLY HIM -- we instead view them as those who justify human interactions/relationships as inherent of being human. Meaning you JUSTIFY your choices by saying things like, "God put me on this earth as a human being, therefore don't I now need, deserve human companionship?" (for example)
But again, there are those of us who have been shown it as a choice of spending time with others in relationship with them, which is causing you to SPEND LESS TIME WITH HIM.
Do you understand?
Let's say I am talking to someone named Jane. If I am talking and talking and talking with Jane, I cannot also be wholly concentrating on Jesus. I can talk to Jesus or I can talk to Jane, but to be in a relationship means to listen and pay attention to that one, so I cannot do either relationship justice, especially if I am spending all of my time talking to Jane when I am called to be spending all of my time talking to Jesus.
In turn, those who seem to crave human relationships and companionships, THEY do not understand OUR NEED for ONLY HIM, and it offends their flesh because walking uprightly in the things of God brings JUDGMENT in and of itself - because they are doing that which keeps them separate from uninterrupted 24/7 intimacy with Jesus - which is all we long for.
Because THOSE HIGHLY CALLED AS ROYAL HANDMAIDENS unto HIM would not ever give up one moment with Him - not for any one or any thing.
One of the lies of satan is the twisting of the meaning of "being no earthly good" as something bad. But we are NOT OF THIS WORLD, we are only passing through! And if your calling is His royal priesthood, called out, set apart then REJOICE in being OF NO EARTHLY GOOD! instead only GOOD FOR HIM AND HIS PURPOSES! For THESE ARE THEY that He can truly trust with His decrees, words, revelations, judgments. (2:48 a.m.)
One other thing the Lord said unto me and told me to include in this piece (to also help you understand why people do not want to be around us) is this: (Spoken to me 10-10-2006 @ 12:07 A.M.):
He said unto me, "It is the MY PRESENCE IN YOU - the power of My anointing ON YOU AND IN YOU AND THROUGH YOU that makes it so that any and all areas of darkness on ANY Christian CANNOT REMAIN HIDDEN IN THEM" - they cannot be around you without the darkness in them being revealed - for NOTHING HIDDEN can remain hidden around you because of the greatness of My anointing upon your life and that which I have chosen for you to do, and in how you are representing Me. That is why people START OUT "SEEMINGLY" WALKING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS but THIS ANOINTING REVEALS ALL THINGS ON ALL PEOPLE NO MATTER HOW SEEMINGLY HOLY BECAUSE IT IS TRULY GOD."
To be separate
To be cut off from ordinary relationships
For the purpose of serving a peculiar function...
