Quick. Powerful. Sharper than any two-edged sword. Piercing. Dividing assunder... of soul and spirit...joints and marrow. A discerner of thoughts. A discerner of intents of the heart.

Does that sound mean? For many proclaim that when His word is spoken out of discernment and truth, especially by the prophets, it is mean...hateful...evil.

Let's look at those terms for a moment shall we?

QUICK = "fast and sudden; swift; coming soon; prompt (aka ON TIME)"

POWERFUL = "having great power or force: mighty; strong"

SHARP = "having a thin cutting edge or a fine point; with a sudden change of direction; severe, biting; feeling somewhat like a cut or prick; affecting the senses keenly; clear; distinct; fierce, violent"

TWO-EDGED = "having two edges; cutting both ways"

SWORD = "weapon, usually metal,,, with a long, sharp blade fixed in a handle or hilt"

DIVIDING = "separate into parts; separate; disagree or cause to disagree; separate in feeling, opinion, etc."

ASUNDER = "in pieces; into separate parts"

SOUL = "mind, will, emotions; source of thoughts, feelings, actions; considered separate from the body"

JOINTS = "the place at which two things or parts are joined together"

MARROW = "soft tissue that fills the hollow central part of most bones; the inmost or important part (comes from Old English mearg)"

DISCERNER = "sees clearly; perceive the difference between; distinguishes or recognizes; that which is keen in seeing and understanding"

THOUGHTS = "What one thinks; ideas; notions; intentions; opinions; beliefs; imaginings; expectations"

INTENTS = "that which is intended; purpose; having the eyes or thoughts earnestly fixed on something; design; plans"

HEART = "the main part; the most important part; the spirit"

It never ceases to amaze me that there are those who proclaim their love for Almighty God with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. For when they ask for His help, ask for His words of truth, it is as if they have certain perceptions of how He will respond - as if they, themselves, have decided in their hearts and minds that God will say 'only this' and otherwise it is not Him. Then when they hear His actual words of TRUTH for them, it almost seems to destroy them, for they seem to have been expecting 'hearts and flowers' sorts of words, words that tickle the ears, but when it is, instead, teaching, correction, or wisdom, it is almost an outrage to them.

I find it utterly amazing that God would even WANT to speak to us. His word proclaims, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" (Psalm 8:4) Or, if you prefer the New Testament, "But one in a certain place testified, saying, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?" (Hebrews 2:6) It humbles me to the ground that He would entrust His messages unto man, allowing certain ones to go forth as His Messengers. Hear what He is saying - none is greater than another...there are some that speak for His prophetic truths - those are they which are being discussed here. That He chose me is even more amazing, "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"(1 Corinthians 1:27) But in that God, creator of heaven and earth, created human beings in His image that He would have a family to love and be loved by, and then choose to SPEAK TO US...THAT is truly incredible, fearful, and should never be taken lightly or for granted because truthfully He is great, awesome in Majesty; and to fear of the Lord is wisdom.

It is important to understand that ALL that God speaks unto us is spoken in love. There are times when it WILL be the "Come away with Me My beloved...." - wooing words, words in the form of love songs, poetic love letters - the sort of words that invite us unto deeper intimacy with Him. But there are other times when He will speak forth correction..."I have a little against you My Beloved...come let us change this together so that you can then become all that I have ordained for you to be."

Is one less loving than the other? God has proclaimed, "But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons." (Hebrews 12:8). We are to RUN to His words of truth, correction or no. Because that which He ministers unto us out of correction IS spoken in love, for what sort of parent would He be to allow us to continue to roam about in ignorance, blindly making the same mistakes, judgments, etc over and over and over again, even to the point of damning ourselves? A loving Father CORRECTS! He sets our feet upon HIS paths of truth and righteousness - if we let Him. Therefore I submit unto you, correction does NOT make Him cruel, but instead is yet MORE evidence of His endless and unfailing love toward us.

Would not wisdom set forth that all that He speaks is to be hungered for?

One of the biggest problems He has shown me with the Body today is that many many many have their eyes focused upon their circumstances - what they see with their natural eyes. Marriage problems. Rebellious teens. Financial woes. Health challenges. All those things you may experience IN THE NATURAL while journeying upon this earth. However, when you keep your eyes on those things, when you start talking those things - whether on the phone with family and friends, or even here on MySpace, posting all the things that you are experiencing, THAT THEN GETS YOU INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE ENEMY! If you were to open your bible to virtually any point, you will NOT see that GOD SAYS that you are sick, or that your marriage is rocky, or that your children are doomed. INSTEAD, GOD'S PROMISES ARE "YES" and "AMEN". But when you SPEAK FORTH THAT WHICH YOU SEE WITH YOUR NATURAL EYES - out loud (in writing, etc), you then get into agreement with the enemy.

Let's say that the worldly doctors say that you have cancer. They perform all their worldly tests, can even show you visible proof of the results of that test. Does that mean that you have cancer? That would depend on who you believe - to whom you belong. satan says we are sick and dying - Jesus says He gave us life abundantly. Jesus says that by His stripes we are healed.

But you have what seems to be valid physical evidence to the contrary - x-rays, pet scans, pain, etc etc etc. How does that line up with God's word?

There are many mysteries that we have no explanation for. When you tell someone with cancer that God says YOU ARE HEALED, they get offended, and take it as a personal slap in the face when you say, "You are getting into agreement with the enemy every time you speak forth the words "I HAVE CANCER". God's truths are light in the darkness. Nobody is saying that YOU are evil. What the Lord is having us speak forth unto you is that if you will SPEAK FORTH HIS TRUTHS, He can then WORK ON YOUR BEHALF.

Imagine a person who has lost their job - family of 5 to feed, mortgage to pay. They call everyone they know and say, "We aren't going to make it. There is just no way. We're going to lose everything." Their prayers may even sound a little something like this, "Dear Lord, we're finished. We are going to lose everything. We have nothing and there is no hope. Please save us."

But God's can't really respond to that prayer, other than to say, "SAYS WHO? IS THAT WHAT I SAID? WHAT DO I SAY ABOUT YOUR LIFE IN ME"? Because for this situation, TRUTH says the following: "You shall have life abundantly." "I shall provide all your needs" "No weapon formed against you shall prosper".

God never said your life was hopeless, God instead said HE IS YOUR HOPE. The point is that what we SPEAK becomes our PROCLAMATION OF FAITH - OF WHAT WE BELIEVE (for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh). When you proclaim what you see in the natural, and confess it out of your mouth, or post it on a blog, you are tying God's hands. Because He is faithful to perform HIS word. If your words do not proclaim HIS WORDS, He cannot act!

But instead, when you minister this unto people who are in need, they become highly offended. It doesn't make sense to them. They are standing on what they SEE with their natural eyes. And if you say, "But that is what God says," then they think you are calling them evil. They have ears but choose not to hear that God is speaking forth life and truth and liberty. Saying that you are speaking that which the enemy has to say about you doesn't then mean that YOU ARE SATAN!!!

Who has ears to hear...???

God is SO AMAZING! He and I were speaking about someone last night who has as spirit of self-pity. As soon as I said, "Lord, what do you want me to speak unto this one..." He said, "Turn on WHME (the local Christian channel) (NOTE: The Lord never permits me to watch Christian TV, only when He ordains it). Joyce Meyer was speaking and I mean in that exact moment when the TV turn-on mechanism was pushed and the screen went from cold and dark to light and showing Joyce, the first word that came through the TV speakers - EXACTLY - were...."...self-pity steals your life-strength! It becomes a prison. But if you were to look around it wouldn't take you very long to see that there are at least three others who have it even worse than you do". Isn't God awesome?!?! She began speaking of all the things that a believer will go through and even said the list was too long to write down...but I was able to catch a few... rejection... sickness.. betrayal... abandonment... offense... self-pity...trouble...". And she then said, "How do you make sense of it when you see one thing in the natural but then you read God's word and it says something else? WE JUST HAVE TO BE READY TO SERVE GOD NOT UNDERSTANDING EVERYTHING". And then she help up the pillow that she keeps in her office, which is embroidered with the first part of the serenity prayer,

Beloved brethren, our circumstances are NOT ETERNAL. And the way Almighty God sees us is NOT how it looks RIGHT NOW. If you really want the victory you are going to have to RUN (not walk) to HIS WORDS OF TRUTH. You are going to have to humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and say, "I don't have a clue how this will work out without you - show me what You see, tell me what YOU have to say". The ONLY WAY to receive victory over that which we perceive in the natural is to HEAR HIS TRUTHS AND PROCLAIM THEM!!!

In order to really hear that which the Lord longs to share with you about ALL that is part of your life is to SURRENDER...SUBMIT. He cannot make you want to do this, nor can He override your own free will - no one can make you want to see things God's way or hear that which He has to say that will bring forth freedom and life. BUT...if you DO want all that God has for you, then RUN TO HIS WORDS OF TRUTH!

How do you get to the place of surrender, where God can speak all and do all that He has ordained for you since before the foundations of the world? YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO LET HIM CRUSH YOU. You are going to have to let Him give you a new heart and a new mind.

I used to have an analogy that a Christian wrote describing the potting techniques and showing how it related to what God does to us when we surrender into His hands. Only He knows what happened to that paper, because I have not seen it in years. However He did send me to a pottery site and asked me to put forth the following.

First the Master Potter needs to prepare the clay. It is soaked for a very long time in water (The Word) until it is pliable, workable. He then puts it out for a day or two - waiting.... waiting. He picks up the mass of clay and turns it over. All of the air bubbles (flesh/self) need to be removed. So, the Master Potter puts the clay mass onto the floor and WALKS ON IT... pressing... pressing...trying to get out all of the air bubbles. He then picks it up and re-shapes it into a ball, covers it, puts it BACK ONTO THE FLOOR and WALKS ON IT AGAIN (!). When finally appears to be ready, for He has a discerning eye and never moves ahead until each ordained process is completed, it is then time to do something called wedging. The clay is compressed down, Master Potter working the clay continually... kneading... rolling. "Trapped air bubbles can cause your pottery process to fail while throwing, drying, bisquing" (says the pottery instructor). "This can be disasterous during the firing in the ovens". And so Master Potter pokes the bubbles with a sharp instrument...He pulls it apart, finding ALL the bubbles until He gets them all. NOW the clay is ready for 'throwing'!

The Master Potter puts the clay onto the wheel. It spins and spins and spins between the Potter's hands - He wets it, molds it, shapes it, APPLYING PRESSURE, letting the precious clay flow freely between His fingers -strong and sure. If it wobbles it is not centered - and He must begin again! But continuing on one that hasn't wobbled, He continues molding and shaping the clay, watering it, letting it spin, forming the shape, using His hands to mold and guide the clay until it is the exact, perfect consistency. And then He uses a wire cutter and removes the formed clay from the wheel. He sets it aside for awhile to wait...and then it is time to put it into the oven. The lovely pieces of clay are placed onto a special high firing shelf. The kiln heat is increased until it reaches 2400 degrees F. "There is literally a fire going on inside the kiln" (says the pottery instructor).

Sounds painful doesn't it, when you picture yourself as that mass of clay? Time consuming, grueling, and painful. But you see, the Master Potter is sovereignly preparing you as His vessel. He is making this vessel to bear His name. He is making this vessel into something He can utilize for His Glory. He is making this vessel to manifest His love and truths to others.

You are His workmanship! ("For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:10") He makes no mistakes, for He is our skillful Master Potter. We can trust Him to make us into all that He has ordained for us.

The problem is, man wants to be the potter! But, it won't work, because we have no clue how to do this thing WITHOUT HIM!

We MUST allow Him to put us in the fire. "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of yoru faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing" (James 1:2-4). He must press us and shape us. He centers us in our innermost being, taking away double-mindedness and renewing our souls! (Dividing asunder....)

For those who have read that which the Lord has written through me, you may perhaps recall that He has had me giving believers Jill Austin's, "Master Potter" books. He has asked me to share the following portion from this truly anointed Kingdom masterpiece:

(The main character of this story's name is Forsaken. Master Potter finds her thrown away in the potter's field. He rescues her, gives her a new name ("Beloved") and takes her to His house to make her anew)

"Carefully laying her broken clay vessel on the table, Master Potter touches the shattered pieces of her life. With great tenderness, He explains, "Beloved, it breaks My heart how terribly damaged you've become. That was never My intent for you, but sin extracts a high price.

"I have to start over. To fulfill the marvelous destiny I have for your life, I must crush you into fine dust, but I promise I'll not lose even one particle of you. Each particle, like the hairs on your head, is numbered by Me. I will take you to My wheel, and from your dust, make you into something lovely.

"This process is a necessary part of making you into that beautiful vessel, Beloved. But you will have to trust Me. The only crushing you've ever known has been abusive and painful; it was intended by the enemy to destroy you. My crushing is deeply rooted in My redemptive love to heal you. It will hurt for a moment, but the freedom and joy it brings will last through eternity." (From "Master Potter", Chapter 12, page 92).

Deanna Deering was given a vision from God of the same thing, of how God puts us on the potter's wheel and molds and shapes us. The Lord showed unto her that it is when He is forming us during this process that He literally writes His name upon our hearts.

Will you throw your arms wide open, Beloved of God, and run to Him in surrender? Will you let Him have His way with you, crushing you so that you can become that beautiful, righteous, sovereign, holy vessel He has ordained for you to be?

Do not delay....

And if you look out toward the place in Him that you are running toward? You shall see HIM standing there waiting, with His arms stretched open wide, ready to embrace you and change that which you THOUGHT was how things were going to be into that which He has ORDAINED for them to be.

Who has ears let him hear what the Spirit saith...
