It was after midnight - Saturday July 22nd, 2006. The Lord told me to watch the movie "Hostage" staring Bruce Willis. There are several hostage scenarios throughout the movie; the one the Lord pointed out to me was the one involving Bruce's character (as police sheriff) and his own family.

After doing his job, trying to help another family, Bruce is on his way home to his wife and daughter. Someone in dark clothing and a mask is in his police vehicle in the back seat. The intruder takes Willis' gun and directs him to a back lot location. As soon as they arrive a dark van backs up (back end to back end) with the police vehicle. Two more men join Willis in the police car - they handcuff Willis to the steering wheel, buckle him in, hold him down from behind around the shoulders and tell him, "Look in the rearview mirror right now". When Willis' eyes look in the mirror, the rear doors of the other vehicle open - inside, bound and gagged, are Willis' wife and daughter. He gets one brief agonizing look, then the doors close.

If you look up "hostage" in the dictionary you will find: 1)a person taken by force to secure the taker's demands; 2) one that is involuntarily controlled by an outside influence.

The Lord told me to tell you that many (NOT ALL - MANY) of your loved ones are being held hostage by the enemy at this time. They are bound and gagged, some generationally cursed, other demonized for a variety of reasons (including free will choices). The bottom line is that right now the enemy has your loved ones held hostage.

And the Lord says that THAT is about to END.

Typically the one who holds the captives hostage will make the demands. satan can demand all he likes - we do not take our instructions from the defeated foe of the Most High God. No, instead your instructions will come via Almighty God.

YOUR part in this has a few requirements:

---you must stand in the gap for those you love, repenting on their behalf
---you must pray and you must fast as led by Holy Spirit
---you must PROCLAIM THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD for truly the Lord IS FAITHFUL TO PERFORM HIS WORD.

Why do so many Christians balk at the idea of reciting scriptures aloud? In 2001 the Lord told me personally to make a personal confessions journal. The Lord showed me all of the scriptures to write down - then (to this day) I recite them when He tells me to. A prophet I knew at the time pooh-poohed the idea and told me it wasn't necessary. But I didn't listen to man - instead I listened to My Lord and My Saviour. And truly I can assure you that GOD IS FAITHFUL - that your faith WILL INCREASE by hearing His word SPOKEN ALOUD; that, while not a FORMULA, RECITING SCRIPTURES FOR YOUR BREAKTHROUGH is the power that the church has been missing out on for a very very long time.

IF YOU WILL GET YOUR MOUTH AND PRAYERS LINED UP WITH THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD, YOU WILL BE PROPHESYING TO THE DEAD DRY BONES! YOU WILL BE MAKING DECREES. FOR ALL OF SCRIPTURE IS A PROPHESY - A PROMISE - THEREFORE YOU MUST SPEAK IT FORTH IF YOU WANT THE BREAKTHROUGHS!!!

And so you can sit back and harrumph and tsk tsk or you can humble yourself before the throne of God and you can STAND ON HIS WORD.

How much do you love your loved ones?
What lengths are you willing to go to for them to be set free?
Are you willing to die to self and give ALL REQUIRED so that they can live?

Jesus paid the price for ALL - He came to PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES!!! It is your responsibility to listen to Him and do that which He would have you to do to see victory in their lives. We are not to leave our brothers and sisters by the side of the road lest they perish...we are to let Jesus THROUGH US reach them and release them for HIS GLORY!

The Lord promised in Deuteronomy 28:6 (paraphrased as a personal confession) "All of your household members are blessed in their deeds. They are blessed when they come in and when they go out".

Psalm 116:14 says "I am increased more and more, me and my children"

Isaiah 44:3 proclaims, "You poured your spirit upon my seed and your blessing upon my offspring"

These examples are mainly for parents for their children - but do you even KNOW WHAT THE SCRIPTURES PROMISE FOR YOUR CHILDREN? YOUR SPOUSE? YOUR LOVED ONES? DO YOU? HAVE YOU WRITTEN THEM ALL DOWN? MEMORIZED THEM? Have you decided that you WILL NOT QUIT NOR GIVE UP UNTIL YOU SEE THE VICTORY? Are you willing to be like Jacob and WRESTLE WITH GOD UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE ANSWER THAT HE HAS PROMISED?

Get serious!
Get committed!
Take back what the enemy is trying to steal from you...from them!
STAND ON HIS PROMISES.
PROCLAIM THE VICTORY

"Yea, beloved...I am faithful...I will perform my word as you utter it forth on their behalf...speak it forth, beloved, speak it forth..." saith the Lord.

Luke 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
