Today I ran into a Christian mother at a local store. She is someone I met years ago, a strong woman of God, prophet, and now pastor. She was with her two-year-old son, who was sitting in the little cart-seat with his legs dangling. At the end of those legs were a pair of slippers. A pair of Pokemon slippers.
One of the first things she spoke was an apology about the slippers (the Lord hadn’t had me say anything). She apologized for them and said she knew Pokemon was bad but the slippers had been a gift from the child’s grandmother (her mother-in-law) and she didn’t want to offend her by not accepting them. She also said, “Well, he’s too little to know what they mean and definitely isn’t watching Pokemon and has no other involvement”, so she kind of thought it was ok. But obviously if she was led to apologize and explain, deep in her heart she knew it was wrong. Again, the Lord had me speak NOTHING until she finished.
When she was done explaining and apologizing, the Lord had me speak unto her, “BURN THEM.” For the Lord said (unto me), “It is better to offend the mother-in-law than to offend Me.”
For there is no “small” thing - no insignificant things - everything stands either for Christ or against Christ - there is no middle ground. It is when we allow these seemingly ‘insignificant little things’, the Lord said it not only is an open door for the enemy to enter in, but He proclaims, “Allowing little things is compromise. Compromise is luke-warmness. Luke-warm believers are My vomit.”
You may protest, “But they are only slippers”.
Again the Lord would say unto you, “There is no “ONLY” anything - there never had been, there never will be.”
Those little things you may have thought you have been getting by with? Or perhaps you never genuinely gave a second thought to? The Lord is asking, “How much of your life ARE you going to surrender? When are you going to ask Me about ALL things? Consider Me in ALL things? Represent Me fully? There is no “little bit evil” or “little bit God” - for verily I say unto you, ALL THINGS are either FOR Me and My Kingdom or AGAINST Me and My Kingdom.”
Therefore check your life against His life. Submit all of your life unto Him. Don’t willingly choose compromise by saying, “It’s just…” …a pair of slippers…or…whatever you may consider a “just”….
In this case, “just” a pair of slippers with demons attached “just” happened to be upon the feet of a small child of Almighty God - those feet “just” representing his walk in Christ - “just” shod in evil, out of uncertainty. Two-years-olds are laying hands on the sick and they are recovering. Three-years-olds are prophesying. The enemy WANTS us to not question the “small stuff”, the “justs”. But, beloved, heed the word of the Lord - ALL THINGS MEAN SOMETHING TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER…
