Ronaldo was one of international soccer's biggest stars in the 1990s and Brazil best player. At age 17 he was put on Brazil's 1994 World Cup team. In 1996 his skills were purchased by Barcelona. He was named Fifa's World Footballer in 1996 and 1997, becoming the youngest and only player to win the award in years. He also went to the 1998 World Cup, scoring four goals wich brought Brazil Cup finals, but they lost by 0-3 to France in the championship. Weakened by injuries, Ronaldo made a return by leading Brazil to the World Cup championship in 2002. He won the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer with 8 goals and scored both goals in Brazil's 2-0 final game win over Germany.

    Ronaldo is my favourite soccer player. Brazil is my favourite soccer team. Every 4 years I like to watch the World Cup and I cheer Brazil on. GO BRAZIL! GO BRAZIL! Ive started to like the Brazilian team cause of my brother. He liked Brazil so I started to like them and they turned out to be the best soccer team in the WORLD!
