Falklands RE's

One of the most unusual disposals took place in 1983 when surplus Bristol RESL / Marshall saloons were sold to the MOD for use in the Falkland Islands. The vehicles were prepared for despatch at the Leyland Service Centre at Brislington, Bristol before onward shipping. Their life in the Falklands was rigourous to say the least and their final fate was to be bulldozed into a landfill site.
