Text Based Content
The text needs to be in simple direct active text in the present tense.
The font is to veranda and the paragraph text and headings are to be defined
by external css style sheets.
The text for the massage pages should be a little more passive and soothing
in nature.
Multimedia Based Content
The graphics should be consistent - resolution of 72 pixels per inch and
saved as gif images with colours complementing the agreed colour scheme.
Multimedia Balance
The mix between multimedia and text based content needs to be balanced
and not predominantly in Flash for example. Make sure what is available
in multimedia is also available in plain text.
Target Audience
Along with enthusiastic text in present tense and bright energetic colours
there needs to be "alt" tags for the visually impaired and hot
keys for people unable use a mouse. To ensure content conforms to target
audience expectations and technology, a survey of a cross section of users
needs to conducted.
Protocols
Besides the standard http protocols, shttps is required for a secured
layer for logging on of members and credit card details.
Server Support
For membership bookings asp.net sever side scripting is required.
Bandwidth
Keep the file sizes minimised – images to be no more than 30Kb and
individual pages to be no more than 200Kb.
Plug-ins
Standard plugins for Flash5 and Adobe PDF.
