2003 begins with a bang! "DEVON" finishes his MXJ 2/9. Just 3 legs to go for an MX
"DEVON" goes to Montana to the circuit over Sept 20-24 and picks up 3x 5 pt majors to quickly finish his Championship!! Congrats Barbara and Devon.
"DEVON" has his first Agility outing in Central Point, Oregon and comes away with 2 legs towards Novice with a 1st and 3rd place and finishes Novice Gamblers with a 2nd and 3rd place. Nice work for this youngster!!

I wanted to let you know that we competed in our 2nd weekend NADAC trial put on by the Columbia Agility Team in Vancouver, WA. Out of the 5 runs we competed in, Devon qualified in 4 runs. Of those 4 runs, he placed 1st in 3 of them! He also completed his novice standard and novice jumpers titles.
And I forgot to tell you that Devon also received his HIC in mid-March (how could I have forgotten that?!). Anyway, he is now:
Devon will be in his first AKC trial in a couple of weeks. He has been such a wonderful boy!!

Devon Update: At the Eugene, OR trials, Devon qualified in 4 out of 6 runs. On Friday, he received 1st place in his novice standard run. On Saturday, we moved up to the open classes. He got 2nd place in open standard and 2nd in open jumpers. On Sunday, he got third in open jumpers. Pretty darn good!
I will be sending you copies of 8x10s that were taken at the ABTC specialty and one from Eugene. I hope you like them!
By the way, my kuvasz Kenai (Devon's big brother) got his Master Agility title at Eugene, becoming the very first kuvasz to achieve this. I'm extremely proud of him too!

Linda: Well, Devon continues to amaze me and his friends. He is just moving up the line like wildfire. In AKC, he finished his open jumpers title on June 8th in 3 straight trials with two 2nds and a 3rd place. He then finished his open standard title on June 16th with two 1sts and a 2nd place. He just received his first leg in excellent A jumpers with a 1st place, and also got his first leg in excellent A standard with a 1st place and received a special award for the fastest time (yards/sec) for the entire class! Wow! We won't be doing much this summer since I need to spend weekends working on some planned home improvement projects - probably 1 NADAC trial and 1 AKC trial in July. Come Labor Day, we'll start to go to more trials again.
