Gibson MB-0 (1925) |
83-2117 (1460) Gibson 1925 MB-0 mandolin-banjo, 8112-44, OH. A very fine
example having a 10 1/2" immaculate condition skin head, the rim surrounded by an decorative flat, scalloped
metal flange. It has the full sized resonator with binding on one side, slotted stretcher band, good weight
(weight in a banjo generally means powerful projection and rich tone) having a tube tone ring with no holes.
"The Gibson" is inlaid on peghead with a flourish of weeds thereunder. This is a good mandolin-banjo for the
talented amateur. **$613
