83-2660 Gibson 1948-'5l A-40 mandolin, 5477-69, natural top, mahogany back and sides, exc-, NC. Okay so it has replaced tuners and an oversized chipboard case, some early deterioration in the pickguard, it's still a very fine f-hole teardrop shaped mandolin. Features include Gibson logo in gold silkscreen, rosewood bridge with pearl dotmarkers, two piece rosewood adjustable bridge, scalloped shaped tailpiece cover. The finish is notably clean and wholly original - you'd never guess that it was made nearly 50 years ago. **$1025
