83-2682 Gibson 1915 F-4, 22131, red sunburst, vg, OH. Completely original F-4s of any description are becoming increasingly more rare. This fine mid-teens example has the typical reddish brown sunburst top and two-piece figured maple back and sides. All components are original and intact including the fancy Handel inlaid tuners, each button a miniature masterpiece (oh puleeze...) of abalone and engraved squiggles.

The double torch headstock inlay is of wonderful multicolored pearl as is the "The Gibson" script logo-on-the-diagonal. There is, overall, superfine finish checking which only serves to lend the patina of age and authenticity (as if it needed it) to this ferry tisirable American instrument. We can turn this one loose for just **$3608
