Gibson F-4 (1916) |
83-2722 Gibson 1916 F-4, 29785, cherry sunburst, exc-, OH. Having the
delicately inlaid button Handel tuners (imported from the Fatherland) this Florentine figure reflects,
in every way, the elegance and style of the late Victorian era from which its appointments originally
derived. The large, ivoroid bound, bass side body scroll balances the two sharp points on the treble,
and the peghead, ivoroid bound with a tiny fillip on the bass and a small completed scroll on the treble,
bears a script logo and flowery urn which image, combined, covers nearly five inches.
