Kummenti tal-Parteċipanti dwar il-Workshops

Comments of the Workshops Participants

The djembe course was a good initiative. I am sure most people would like it to continue at least for another few sessions. I think that the course should be organised in two classes relating to whether one has music orientation or not. Having come to the classes I think this influenced the progress of the course.

Id-'Drum Circle Workshops' huma tal-ġenn!. Għalkemm naf li mhux ser insir perkussjonista malajr, il-'workshops' qed jgħinuni biex napprezza aktar il-kumplessità u s-sbuħija tar-ritmi fil-ħajja. Bħala dilettant tal-mużika qatt ma ħsibt li hemm daqshekk x'taħseb u titgħallem fuq dak li kont naħseb li hu sempliċi 'beat'.

Il-djembe u l-istrumenti perkussivi etniċi l-oħra qed juruni stil ta’ ħajja (il-manifattura ta’ l-istrument, l-importanza tar-ritmu fil-pajjiżi fejn jintużaw, eċċ.) aktar milli jintroduċuni biss ma’ strument mużikali ieħor.

Grazzi ta’ din l-opportunità u prosit kbir lil Renzo tal-ħila kbira, id-dedikazzjoni u r-rieda li għandu biex isegwi hu, u jwassal lil ħaddieħor biex isegwi, ir-ritmi tal-ħajja!

Renzo has managed to convey his love of percussion to each one of us.  Besides giving us the very basics of circle/group drumming, he has also introduced us to drumming as an creative expression.  The sessions were very informative and each participant was invited to try different rhythms and styles of drumming individually and with the rest of the group. The African djembe drum does lend itself as a very versatile drum.  We are looking forward to the next course.
