Back in the swing of things! Last Saturday we performed at the Spencerville Fair 1st Annual Battle of the Bands and even with a fairly shaky set we somehow managed to pull off second place. First place went to Starbreeze's vocalist's new band, Frantic, and third to the three-man band Miload. Three other bands in all showed up for the competition including "Our Own Enema" (sorry if that's not the correct spelling, but it was hard to hear you when you started), "Total Immortal," and "11 Moves" (friends of ours, formerly known as the "Liberty Caps").

Last Saturday we were asked to perform at North Grenville District High School for a charity concert for the families of victims of the recent American trajedy. Although we only got to stay for the first hour or so, since we had to be in Perth for 2.00, the show ran throughout the afternoon, and we have heard only good things about it. We're uncertain of exactly how much money was raised, but if you would like to find out, you can contact North Grenville DHS.

Talk about a busy day! Last Saturday we also competed in the Battle of the Bands at St. John's High School in Perth, Ontario. The event ran from 2.00 untill 11.00 at night and we were the first band to perform; one of eleven in total. The winners were determined by an average mark out of ten given by the audience, and somehow, we ended up with first place against simply amazing bands like "Rubbish" and "Factor 8". Of course, that's not to say that we were displeased with our performance-- we believe it to be one of our best ever. Our sincere thanks go out to all of the volunteers at the school, and our best wishes go out to all of the students of St. John's for their trip to Mexico.

Playing at St. Michael's Talent shows is almost becoming a routine for us. Last Thursday we played at St. Mike's for the third or fourth time. The event proved to draw more people than expected, and the cafeteria was filled. Among the other contestants were Jessica Monoham, Brittany Lattanzio and our friend Matt Templeton. The show was run by Mr. MacDonald's grade 11 and 12 leadership class who did a great job organizing and showed great school spirit!
