Rocky Top
Grand Isle, AL
Rocky Top is located in Grand Isle, Louisiana's only inhabited island. The cabin is beachside, across from the Sureway Grocery and Island Flower shop The camp is very comfortable and can accommodate a couple nicely and/or a group depending upon needs.
Begin your day waist deep in the surf of the Gulf of Mexico while catching your limit of specks. You may choose to leave with your charter captain for a day fishing at the world's largest artificial reef, right off the islands coast or going out to find the blue water or enjoy beach swimming and sand castles. You may even try your luck at catching your own crabs for the evening crab boil. Go back in time with a leisurely stroll along lanes lined with live oak trees and the view of hundred year old homes, exotic migrating birds and native wildflowers. A visit to the Grand Isle State Park will give you a breath-taking view of Barataria Pass and the historic ruins of Fort Livingston. Fishing from the 'Ole Fishing Bridge" or one of the many piers will give you many fish tales to bring home with you. After one trip you're sure to be hooked.
