AOIT Experiences

During my junior year I wanted to try new things, things that I could learn from. The first thing that came to my mind was to join the Academy of Information Technology. What made me joined this Academy was I wanted to learn more about computers and to increases my typing skills. The Academy has been a really good experience for me because I got to learned many new things that have benefited me throughout my junior and senior year in high school.

Throughout my junior year the academy offer the students the opportunity to earn a free lap top. The only requirement was to do an internship where they taught us many things about computers. After the internship was over the students received a laptops. During my junior year I was elected to be the Vice President of the AOIT. My junior year helped me a lot I learned to be more responsible and look out for others. I now know that I have to be prepared for college and this Academy was the right for me. I was also offered a job at San Diego Vision Care thanks to this wonderful Academy

When my senior year started, I was happy to come back to school and see all of my classmates. I was ready to learned more great thing and have new experiences. A weeks after coming back from summer vacation, the Academy was looking for sub-advisory board member once again. I became part of the sub-advisory board. This year I was elected Manager of the 12th grade AOIT students.

Being part of the Academy of Information and Technology these past two years has really helped me and benefited me. Another extra academy gift was that I earned 13 credits for college course. I have a lot to thank this Academy for and all the people that make it possible.
