Celebrating 125 Years of Producing Leaders for the State and Nation

Here are some great pictures from the past -- the VTCC goes back to 1872. As time permits, there will be longer captions to the pictures -- as well as more photos. Check back often to see the improvements take place.

The first President!

[Left] A Cadet from the year 1872. ... [Center] A Close-up from 1876. ... [Right] Earl Gregory was the first native Virginian to win the Congressional Medal of Honor. (He was in what is now A Squadron, Class of 26).

An early picture of the Regimental Band, which later took the name, "Highty Tighties!"

A photo of the entire Corps of Cadets from about the year 1900.

The Corps marches to Christiansburg in 1926. Note that the Corps wore shakos (tall, plumed hats) then.

The first building.
