1. How long do we need to record?
This is all dependant on you and what you're after. The longer you spend in the studio, the better it will
turn out as you will have more time to get better guitar and drum sounds, better takes, as well
as more time for editing and mixing.

2. Do you record the tracks live (all at once), or do you record them seperately and then layer them?
We can do both but depends entirely on what you're after. Some bands feel the raw energy of their
songs is captured better when they are recorded live, but most tend to layer the tracks for a slicker and
more polished recording. We occasionally record a mixture of live and layered tracks to
capture the desired "energy" and then overlay vocals, guitar solos etc.

3. What do I need to bring with me for the recording session?
Bring as much of your equipment as possible. This includes drums, amps, guitars, effects pedals etc. If
this will prove difficult, then we do have a selection of equipment which you can use.
We have 3 different drum kits, several guitar amps and guitars, a bass and vintage keyboards etc.
Unlike most of the other recording studios all of these instruments are included in the studio fee!!!

If possible, bring spare batteries, new strings and skins (they make a huge difference), several copies of
your lyrics printed out for yourself and the engineer.

4. Do we have to pay extra for the engineer?
No, the price of the engineer is included in our daily rate.

known albums with artists like: Soho Dolls, Whitey, Acoustic Ladyland, Polarbaer etc. Please visit his
website for further details, rates and so on at. Darryl Anthony has done the likes of Bill Drake (ex
Cariacs, The Collonies etc) and I have done Bands like Kaputt, Alternative 3 etc.

8. How soon after making a booking do we have to pay our 50% deposit, and how can we pay it?
Until your deposit has been received by us, your booking will remain unconfirmed which means that
other bands can book those dates. Therefore the sooner you get it in, the better. If you haven't paid
your deposit, and someone else wants to book in on your dates, you will be contacted by us and given
the option of either paying the deposit or moving your dates.

Deposits can be paid by cheque and posted to us - Please get in touch to find out where to send the
cheque. Alternatively you can drop by the studio and pay your deposit in cash, but be sure to telephone
ahead and let us know that you are planning on coming in.

9. When and how do we pay for the remainder of our session?
If you have not already paid your 50% deposit by time you get to the studio, you will need to pay it on
your arrival, either by cash or cheque. We cannot start recording until this has been paid.

At the end of your recording session, you will be issued an invoice by the studio comprising the
outstanding balance, and, if applicable, the hiring of equipment and overtime. You can settle this final
invoice in cash or by cheque.

PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to release any part of the recording or masters until the studio fees have
been settled in full.

For this reason, please ensure that you have your recording finances sorted before coming in to record.
Please note that we will levy a £30 fee for bounced/unpaid cheques due to the bank charges that they
incur. Also keep in mind that you may have daily withdrawal limits on your bank card and may not be
able to withdraw the necessary amount from a cash point on your final day of recording.
