I love this card! I pulled it last Friday (the 20th) and immediatly put it in my deck. I didn't think it would end up being as good as it did. The first couple of games I played with it I won because of it's effect. This card is really nice. You have a half a chance of destroying a monster. Because there are now so many ways to get monsters back from the Graveyard, you can get it back really easily.

Your opponent can Monster Reborn it, and it isn't so great for you when they do. Two tribute is kind of hard to do sometimes, and, like any other monster with over 1000 ATK, it can be trap holed.

Combos
Use Magic Jammer or Tribute to the Doomed to discard it.. use Call of the Haunted/Monster Reborn/Premature Burial to bring it back.

Play Limiter Removal, flip Magician of Faith, get back Limiter Removal and reuse it's effect.  Attack = 8400.

Rating: 3.7/5
Great when you can get it out.

I'm not a real big fan of level 7+ monsters.  I don't like having to sacrifice two monsters just for one.  I'd rather stick with Summoned Skull, Jinzo, etc., than try to pull out something big.  I never really liked Barrel Dragon.  That is, until Tyloki started kicking my you-know-what with it.  That card can really destroy you.  It can kill your Cyber Jar, Man-Eater Bug, or whatever card you were planning to save yourself with, then attack you.  Throw this guy in with your Jinzo and all of a sudden Limiter Removal can win you the game.  Think about it.  Barrel Dragon + Jinzo = 5000 ATK, x2 for Limiter Removal = 10000, which is enough to kill your opponent, and your opponent can't save himself with a trap card.

I used to think this card was really overrated, but I don't know anymore.  If you get it out, your opponent may never be able to keep a monster on the field long enough for you to even have to bother attacking it.  And thanks to Pharaoh's Servant, there are now 3 ways to get a monster back from your graveyard, so discarding it then reviving it is becoming easier.  This is one level 7 monster that may actually be worth playing.

Barrel Dragon is pretty good.  I'll give it a 3.7/5.  It has a nice effect, and the stats, although not the best, are still pretty good.  It's just that 2 tributes is a lot for it.
