Type: Continuous Trap

Effect:  As long as this card remains face-up on the field, negate the effects of all Magic Cards.  Pay 700 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you cannot, this card is destroyed.
 
 
 
 
 

With the new ruling on this card, it makes it one of the best cards in the game. You get to negate not one, but ALL Magic cards played that turn. Originally, you couldn't remove this card from play unless you couldn't pay the 700 Life Points. Now, according Upperdeck's Tournament Rulings Page, you can choose to discard this card during any of your Standby Phases. You could use it to negate a Magic Card during your opponent's turn, and then discard it during your own Standby Phase and never pay a single Life Point. Imperial Order is way better than Magic Jammer, and possibly the best card in the game. It's restricted to one for a good reason.

The only reason not to put this card in your deck is if you don't have one.

Quick note: The payment is optional.  You can choose to destroy the card instead during your Standby Phase.  This is also true of Mirror Wall but not Messenger of Peace.

Pros
I knew they'd clear that one up.  The ruling is as it should be, and it justifies this card being restricted.  Imperial Order is awesome.  It's like a Magic Jammer with no cost at all, and you stop all magic cards, not just one.  You can choose to keep negating magic cards for just 700 life points.  And without magic cards, you're usually going to last longer than you normally would, so the cost isn't bad at all.  This card goes in every deck.

Cons
Hmmm...ummm...uh, well, I think there might be one.  Just one.  Because Imperial Order is a continuous trap, it can be destroyed by Mystical Space Typhoon in a chain, one thing that Magic Jammer and Magic Drain are immune to.  But Mystical Space Typhoon is really rare and not that used anyway.  Other cons?  There aren't any.

Combos
You don't need combos with this card.  It's incredible by itself.
