Well done Downhills Central School! They followed up their triumphs at Tottenham Schools' sports by practically sweeping the board at the Schools' Swimming Gala held at the Lido last week.

To produce so many outstanding athletes (see athletics page) is something of which any school might well be proud, to add to that a large number of swimmers of more than ordinary skill is an achievement which reflects the greatest credit on those responsible for encouraging an interest in swimming and producing such a generally high standard of team accomplishment.

There is every hope that the present generation of Tottenham boys and girls will bring fame to the Borough in sporting circles in the future. I hope.
