Season 1
1. The Arrival of Raditz
Born long ago of a primeval force on a faraway planet, the Saiyans developed into a warrior race so devastating and relentless that their own planet did not survive their centuries of destruction. Now, one of them is coming to Earth to find his younger brother, Goku! The mighty Saiyan warrior Raditz arrives on Earth searching for his brother Goku, who was sent to Earth as a baby with a mission to destroy all traces of human life on Earth. However, Goku received a blow to his head upon his earthly arrival, causing him to forget his mission of destruction. Goku has instead become Earth's most powerful defender. When Raditz arrives, he tells Goku to destroy 100 earthlings by the next morning or Goku's son, Gohan, will be killed. After Goku refuses his request, Raditz kidnaps Gohan.
b: 13-Sep-1996 pc: 2
NOTE: The Saiyan Saga begins this episode.
In the Japanese version, Gohan means rice.
Raditz tells Goku that planet Vegeta was destroyed by a meteor. Later in the Bardock movie, it is discovered why the remaining Saiyans believed that. It was Frieza who created the lie and destroyed the planet himself.
When the Saiyan saga was first produced by Pioneer, it was known as the Vegeta saga.
In Spring 2003, FUNimation decided to re-dub the first and second season of DBZ, due to when Pioneer dubbed it, they fused a lot of episodes into one, deleting a lot of scenes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. The World's Strongest Team
Goku is baffled about what to do until his arch enemy, Piccolo, appears. Piccolo joins forces with Goku to battle against the Saiyan's threat to Earth. Both use every technique they possess against Raditz, but discover there is no power on Earth capable of stopping Raditz.
b: 20-Sep-1996 pc: 3
NOTE: Here we are witnessed to Raditz's ultimate attack, Double Sunday when he destroys the mountains and a nearby forest.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Gohan's Hidden Powers
When Raditz has Goku at the breaking point between torture and death, his Scouter goes crazy! Gohan has broken free of the space capsule in which Raditz had imprisoned him. In a remarkable burst of power against Raditz, Gohan's Saiyan blood shows through.
b: 27-Sep-1996 pc: 4
NOTE: This is the first appearance of the Special Beam Cannon; Piccolo's most powerful technique.
The Special Beam Cannon is originally known as the Ma-kan-kou-sappou, literally, "Demon's Light Drill" (more or less....)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Goku's Unusual Journey
Raditz is weakened by Gohan's burst of power, allowing Goku to grab Raditz in a bear hug. Piccolo summons an extra powerful blast nicknamed the Special Beam Cannon to finish off Raditz, but his attack also ends Goku's life. Before Raditz dies, he tells Piccolo that two other Saiyans who have even greater power are heading for Earth and will arrive within the year! While Piccolo trains Gohan, Goku travels through Other World to visit Martial Arts Master, King Kai, to get superior training from him in preparation for the upcoming battle against the Saiyans!
b: 04-Oct-1996 pc: 5
NOTE: This is the first time Goku has ever died.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Gohan's Metamorphasis
Piccolo takes Gohan to a deserted wasteland to train him to utilize his incredible power. Gohan is left alone to survive for six months, while Piccolo watches over him from afar. On the night of the first full moon, Piccolo witnesses an incredible transformation as Gohan becomes a gigantic ape!
b: 11-Oct-1996 pc: 8
NOTE: This is the second time that the moon is destroyed in the course of the Dragonball series.
Piccolo removes Gohan's tail.
Piccolo gives Gohan a training gi and a sword. In a show of his ironic sense of humor, Piccolo makes it a copy of Goku's gi, with one small change, the Kanji for Kame (Turtle) is switched with Ma (Demon).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Gohan Makes a Friend
Gohan gradually gets used to living in the wasteland, even though he misses his parents. One day, he helps an injured dinosaur and the two become friends. Later, Gohan's new friend is attacked by another evil dinosaur! See if Gohan can save his new friend!
b: 18-Oct-1996 pc: 10

b: 25-Oct-1996 pc: 11
NOTE: They aren't red! that is the ambience of the planet
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Home for Infinite Losers
Goku has fallen off Snake Way into the land of no return. There, two ogres give Goku a test; they promise that they will show him the way back to Snake Way if he wins a competition against them.
b: 01-Nov-1996 pc: 12
NOTE: The better part of an entire episode got cut here. Originally, Japanese episode 12 marks Lunch's(or Launch, if you prefer)debut in DBZ. Because they had only dubbed the first 13 episodes of Dragon Ball at the time, they removed her from the episode, as viewers wouldn't know who she is. (Though they don't seem particularly bothered about the other characters who weren't in the first 13 episodes, not even adding much introduction to them, so quite why they had to cut out most every trace of Lunch, I'm not sure though). However this only left a few minutes of footage, so it was merged with the following episode. This technique was used fairly frequently throughout the first two seasons.
In Japan, the Home For Infinite Losers is simply called HELL. Naturally, this was edited.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. Princess Snake's Hospitality
A selected group of warriors have gathered at the top of Korin Tower. There they will undergo the special training that will prepare them for the Saiyans. Meanwhile, Goku reaches the end of Snake Way only to fall into the treacherous hands of the beautiful Snake Princess.
b: 08-Nov-1996 pc: 14
NOTE: In the unedited version, while Goku was taking a bath, his buttocks were sticking out. It was cut out in the FUNimation version.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Escape from Piccolo
gs: Saffron Henderson (Cheiko)
Gohan misses home very much. One day, he escapes the wilderness, but his handmade boat is wrecked in a storm. Gohan is saved by orphan children on an island and makes some new friends. When he almost reaches home, Piccolo reminds him of his mission: to save Earth!
b: 11-Sep-1998 pc: 15
NOTE: This episode was apparently skipped over during the original run in syndication, but has aired with the rest of Season 1 on Cartoon Network.
In the original episode, Gohan stops himself from going home, remembering his father's sacrifice.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. Showdown in the Past

Then they learn the terrible reality that the two Saiyans who approaching Earth are twice as strong!
b: 15-Nov-1996 pc: 17
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12. The End of Snakeway
Gohan's training under Piccolo continues. One night, Gohan suddenly transforms into a giant ape and attacks Piccolo! Piccolo discovers that a moon image is being projected from Goku's old Saiyan space pod and Piccolo must destroy it before Gohan destroys him! Meanwhile, Goku finally reaches the end of Snakeway and arrives to King Kai's small planet, which has ten times stronger gravity than Earth's.
b: 03-Jan-1997 pc: 18
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13. A Fight Against Gravity...Catch Bubbles!
After Goku passes King Kai's test to make him laugh, the training begins! Goku's first task is to catch King Kai's pet monkey, Bubbles. King Kai explains the Saiyan home world, the planet Vegeta, had the same gravity as his planet and that the two Saiyans on their way to Earth are even stronger than King Kai himself.
b: 10-Jan-1997 pc: 19
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. The Legend of the Saiyans
Goku's next task is to hit Gregory, a super fast grasshopper, with a heavy hammer. Amazed at how quickly Goku can conquer the gravity, King Kai decides to teach him the techniques "Kaio-Ken" and "Spirit Bomb". King Kai also reveals information about Goku's Saiyan heritage. Goku learns the planet Vegeta had vanished and he was among only four Saiyan survivors.
b: 17-Jan-1997 pc: 20
NOTE: The Kai-oh-ken is a power up technique where Goku can exponentially double or triple his power at the expense of his health.
The Spirit Bomb (Genki-dama) is Goku's most powerful attack, but it has a few drawbacks. The most obvious one is it takes time to charge up, drawing on the ki of all living things. Second, only those with pure and good hearts can use it. Goku cannot create a "Genki-dama" when he's a Super Saiyan, but he can use it if it is already created. (See Movie #7 for all the gory details)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15. A Black Day for Earth
Goku's training under King Kai is complete and he's ready for battle. Meanwhile, the two Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, arrive on Earth as Piccolo and Gohan proceed toward them. Their purpose is to find the Dragon Balls and get their wish of immortality.
b: 24-Jan-1997 pc: 21
NOTE: Goku uses King Kai's telepathy to contact Master Roshi... who is on the toilet at the time. The gang hears him talking to himself in the bathroom and figure him for a weirdo.
The blast Nappa used to level the city he and Vegeta landed in was felt hundreds of miles away by the Z Fighters.
In this episode, Vegeta has black hair. In the episodes leading up to the Saiyans' arrival, he has reddish/brown hair. Although people say his hair changed, official art shows that Vegeta still has a reddish shine to his hair.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16. The Battle Begins...Goku Where Are You?
Vegeta and Nappa reach Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin. Vegeta recognizes Piccolo as the one who told Raditz about the Dragon Balls and reveals Piccolo is an alien from the planet Namek. Just as Tien, Chiaotzu and Yamcha arrive to fight, the Saiyans grow plant monsters called Saibamen to fight them.
b: 01-Feb-1997 pc: 22
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17. The Saibamen Strike
Earth's Special Forces show off their newly developed power in the battle against the six Saibamen.(Green colored, mindless creatures grown from seeds that obey Nappa's and Vegeta's every whim) Yamcha beats the shit out of one but carelessly turns his back on it because of his head strongness. He doesn't notice it get up and gets grabbed from behind! It squeezes the life out of Yamcha and he can't break free. The Z fighters wait for him to break the hold when the Saibaman unexpectedly self-destructs! Along with him taking Yamcha! The remaining Z fighters are now left to take on the Saibamen without him!
b: 08-Feb-1997 pc: 23
NOTE: The battle with the Saibamen was televised for a short while, giving those at the Kame House a chance to watch the Z Fighters in action, and Yamcha's death. Needless to say, Bulma doesn't take it well....
Tien easily beat a single Saibaman, but when Yamcha battled one, it clung onto him and self-destructed. Krillen then used one of his special attacks, because of his anger, that is never named in the dub, but is named Kakusandan in japanese. This attack destroyed the remaining Saibamen.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18. Nappa... The Invincible?
Nappa's power builds up and he sets his sights on Tien. A sneak attack by Chiaotzu seems to give the Earth's Special Forces the upper hand but at what cost? Unscathed, Nappa emerges from the blast. Chaiaotzu has given his life in vain and failed to help Tien. Piccolo plans a new attack, but will it work?
b: 15-Feb-1997 pc: 24
NOTE: In his powered up shield-state, Nappa manages to severe Tien Shinhan's arm.
Chiaotszu dies trying to blow up Nappa with him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19. Tien Goes All Out!!
Tien uses all his powers to help Piccolo and Krillin fight the relentless Nappa, but Nappa continues to seem unstoppable. Just when it looks like Nappa will finish off Piccolo and Krillin, Vegeta calls a break to see if Kakarot (Goku) will arrive as Earth's Special Forces very survival depends solely on it.
b: 22-Feb-1997 pc: 25
NOTE: Tien Shinhan uses a Tri-Beam Cannon on Nappa, but his heart gives out and dies.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
20. Time's Up!
When Goku is nowhere in sight, Nappa resumes his devastating fight against Earth's Special Forces. Suddenly, everyone senses Goku's impending arrival and Vegeta discovers Goku's power level is at 5000 and still rising! He orders Nappa to finish off Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan before Goku arrives.
b: 12-Apr-1997 pc: 27
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
21. The Return of Goku
Krillin is defeated and Nappa fires a massive power blast to finish off Gohan. Before it's too late, Piccolo jumps in the way and sacrifices himself to save Gohan. But Kami as well is killed and the seven Dragon Balls to wish everyone back to life vanish. Enraged, Gohan uses all of his power to fight, but Nappa is too strong. Luckily, however, Goku finally arrives!
b: 19-Apr-1997 pc: 28
NOTE: First appearence of Krillin's new technique, Destructo Disc, "the spirit saw" (more or less). Had it hit Nappa, it would have taken his head off.
Gohan uses the technique Piccolo taught him, the Ma-Sen-Kou, but it is slapped down by Nappa.
Gohan is rescued by Nimbus, Goku's flying cloud.
Nimbus seems bigger, and makes funny noises, like a broken car >.>
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

gs: Dan Woren (Drum)
Goku surprises everyone with his new power and Vegeta orders Nappa to retreat. Instead, the enraged saiyan attacks Krillin and Gohan, but Goku stops him by using his new Kaio-ken technique. b: 03-May-1997 pc: 30
NOTE: Although Goku says Kaio-Ken X 4 and it seems like his power increased, he did not truly reach it. He tried to but it was more like a state between 3 and 4 much like the state between a Super Saiyan and an Ascended Saiyan.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
24. Vegeta...Saiyan Style!
Realizing Goku is much stronger than expected, Vegeta transforms into a giant ape, putting Goku in a tight spot. On their way to Master Roshi's, Gohan and Krillin sense Goku's crisis and rush back to his aide. Meanwhile, Goku decides he has to use his new technique, the Spirit Bomb, to stop Vegeta. But does he have enough time to do it?
b: 10-May-1997 pc: 32
NOTE: Unlike Gohan and Goku, Vegeta is able to control himself when Oozaru (Ape Transformation), and even talk, it is assumed that only Elite Sayians can do this, since Bardock's team didn't seem to remember much of their Oozaru transformation in the Bardock Special.
Goku might of had a chance if he knew either cutting off the tail or destroying the moon ball would change him back. Most of his friends know this but never told him because it would mean telling him that he killed his grandfather.
The scenes of an Oozaru destroying things were of Goku destroying Pilaf's castle and the World Martial arts stadium
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
25. Stop Vegeta Now!
As Vegeta almost crushes Goku, Yajirobe manages to cut off his tail causing Vegeta to return to normal. Furious, Vegeta attacks the other three warriors. Goku tells Gohan to fight against Vegeta to give Goku time to give the Spirit Bomb to Krillin.
b: 17-May-1997 pc: 33
NOTE: Krillin is the only other cast member to ever use the Spirit Bomb.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
26. The Battle Ends
Despite getting hit by the Spirit Bomb, Vegeta is still going. Although injured and weak, he seems too strong for Earth's warriors. But just before Vegeta can finish off Gohan, Gohan's tail grows back! Gohan then transforms into a giant ape and starts attacking Vegeta!
b: 24-May-1997 pc: 35
NOTE: This is Gohan's last tail in the series, he has 2 more in the movies, giving him 5 in total.

This episode aired uncut on Telemundo and the infamous scene between Krillin and Frieza was a lot longer. Here is what many of the fans on Cartoon Network did not see.: After Frieza's horn went through Krillin's chest, his blood began dripping down to Frieza's mouth and he began drinking Krillin's blood! Gohan and Vegeta tried to save Krillin, but Frieza kept punching them. Krillin tried to free himself from Frieza by kicking him in the face and neck, but Frieza wouldn't stop. When Frieza was done, he through Krillin into the body of water. History of Trunks
Summary
Fourteen years after the events of the Frieza saga, the Earth is in ruins, terrorized by a pair of Artificial Humans. Goku is long dead of a heart disease and shortly after, Piccolo, Vegeta, Krillin, and the other Z fighters were killed when the Artificial Humans first arrived. Now the only surviving Z fighter is Gohan, who trains Vegeta's now 13 year-old son, Trunks. Gohan seems to be strong enough now to take on one Android, but against both, he still has trouble, and when Trunks always gets in the way, it doesn't get any easier. Finally, Gohan sustains serious injury, and not long after he's healed, he takes on both Androids again. Gohan is killed in battle, finally giving Trunks the necessary fuel to reach Super Saiyan. This is the story of the future.....that never was.
Detailed Synopsis
It starts off with everyone (Krillin, Vegeta, Bulma, Piccolo, etc.) gathered around Goku's house shocked because they have just discovered that Goku's heart disease has killed him. Even Vegeta is shocked. Then it shows clips of a massive battle between the Z fighters, short of Goku, fighting and being killed by two androids. Android 17 and Android 18 easily kill everyone, including a Super Saiyan Vegeta. The only survivor of the battle is Gohan, who barely escapes.
Then about 10 to 13 years later, you see a young teenage Trunks stuck in traffic with his mom, Bulma, on their way into a city. They notice smoke coming from the city as it is 17 and 18 who attack it, killing all who get in their way. Then, Trunks spots an grown Gohan flying on his way to fight the androids. Trunks can't stand waiting so he follows Gohan at his mother's dismay. Gohan goes Super Saiyan and is doing pretty good against 18, who he has fought before, but once 17 joins the fight he has no chance. Trunks comes out of hiding and tries to fight but makes a fool of himself, getting beat up badly in the process. Gohan gets beat up trying to protect the injured Trunks and loses his arm in the fight. But not before he does a famous "Ma Sen Kou" blast that blinds them. Gohan then gives Trunks his last Sensu Bean after 17 and 18 give up their search and fly away. Once Trunks is revived from the Sensu Bean, he carries Gohan to Capsule Corp to heal.
Bulma is able to fix up Gohan but he still loses his arm. Trunks then asks Gohan if he will train him so he can fight the androids and Gohan agrees. Gohan then trains Trunks for many months similar to how Piccolo trained him. Gohan is tough but fair and Trunks becomes much stronger. Finally, Gohan tells Trunks that he is ready to fight the androids but right before they fly off Gohan hits Trunks on the neck, knocking him out, and goes to fight the androids alone.
Gohan finds the androids creating terror in a city and attacks them head on. He again is beating the stuffing out of one but has trouble taking on both. Android 17 puts the hurt on Gohan and decides leaving Gohan alive is too much of a risk, since he has increased his strength by so much. They finish him off and fly away.
Trunks finally comes to and realizes Gohan left him there wanting to fight alone. Trunks is furious and goes to find Gohan. When Trunks finds his mangled body he cannot take it and goes Super Saiyan for the first time.
It then skips to a few years in the future as Trunks is preparing to leave in his time machine to find Goku and tell him about the future. The word "HOPE!!!" is written on the outside of the time machine and he tells Bulma that he will warn Goku of the events to come and prevent the same future from occuring. Also, secretly hoping he will be able to destroy the androids of his time. He flies off to start the Trunks Saga which follows through to the Cell Saga (US Episodes 103-179).
b: 12-Sep-2003
NOTE: Noah, this movie is very choppy. Getting mixed details here. How could the edited version and the uncut version be so different?? Uncut: Trunks hears about the first attack on radio then flies off by himself. Then after he arrives Gohan appears. Edited version:? The same thing? And in the regular DBZ saga, flashbacks are used often. Especially during the Trunks Saga, is there not a scene where Gohan jumps up one handed over the androids and yells "Ma Sen Ko" and shoots a large blinding light? Yet, it is not shown in the uncut version of The History of Trunks where it would be relevant to show that footage. Very choppy movie if you ask me. 6/20/03 (Remembrance of goof that you conceived in early of 2003) Plus, the dates of when the island nine miles west of south city was suppposed to be destroyed in both the future and past, Trunks is shown as at least 10 or 12 (to the human eye) and in the future on that date he is still a baby being nursed by Bulma. Remember Bulma holding that child atop the cliff acc
ompanied by Yajirobe? Weird? Wouldn't you say?
The teenage Goten from DBGT looks like this Gohan.

Piccolo was very angry at Goku. "We knew this would happen! We told you Gohan wasn't strong enough! Now he's dead, Goku, and it's your fault!" Piccolo had yelled. "Piccolo, he's fine, can't you sense his energy?" Goku replied. Then, in a burst of energy and light, Gohan appeared, barely scratched. he began to tell Cell about his hidden powers. He told Cell that if his powers were unleashed, he wouldn't be able to help himself. He would destroy Cell. He began to tell Cell about the times they were fighting Frieza, Radditz, Garlic Jr., and their other enemys. Gohan alone, still 5 years old, had weakened Radditz horribly and sent Garlic jr. into the Dead Zone. Only a few years later, he had close to killed Frieza in his 3rd stage. But, Cell was not worried. He now had a new goal. To unleash Gohan's power, and have a real fight with Gohan. Now it was Cell that was being squeezed. Anroid 16 said he was going to detonate the explosive that was inside him. It was strong enough to destroy Cell, and everything around him. He tried to detonate the bomb, but nothing happened. Krillin said that Bulma and Dr. Briefs had taken it out, and told the story of it. When he was done, Cell destroyed 16. Gohan was angry, but his power was still not showing itself. Then, before he began to fight, Cell counted the Z Warriors and made that many mini duplicates of himself, that were just as strong. Gohan and Cell began to fight.

Krillin is shocked to see Cell using his Kienzan. Meanwhile, Cell throws both of them at Gohan, who blocks them with his fists alone. With a surge of power, he obliterates the discs. Cell gets a little nervous now, and flies into the air. He places his index and middle finger onto his forehead, and some familiar lightning starts to surge through them. Cell fires the Makankosappo technique, which Gohan merely punches away into the sky. Gohan walks up to Cell and merely taunts him about being scared of his new form, after Cell had wanted to make it come about in the first place. Cell is really afraid now, and flies off into the air again. The gang think he is trying to retreat, but they soon see Cell cup his hands as he summons energy for the infamous technique. However, this is more powerful than usual; a Chou (Ultra) Kamehameha. Goku tries to coax Cell to stop, in case he atomises the Earth, while Krillin tries to get Gohan to leave the range of fire. Both the fighters don't listen as Cell fires and Gohan stands firm in place. The Turtle Blast Wave heads towards Gohan and at the last second, Gohan utters the words himself, and also fires a Chou Kamehameha. The two Waves collide, and ever so slowly, Gohan's wave starts gain a bit more energy as it forces Cell's back towards him. Cell is trying hard to force more energy into his own Wave, then tries to deflect Gohan's. However, Cell is overpowered and the Wave disintegrates him. Everyone else, except Gohan, is buried under sand. The Z Senshi dig themselves out, as they look up to see Cell, looking none too good, as he is missing a left arm, both legs, his top part of his head and his wings. The Z Senshi congratulate Gohan on his work so far, but urge him to finish Cell off. Gohan heeds his friends' words, but he doesn't follow the advice. He merely tells them he wants Cell to suffer like he has made others do. Goku yells at his son, that everyone knows he has enough power to kill Cell, but it was time to actually use it. Gohan doesn't take notice and smirks at his handiwork on Cell. However, when everyone tries to remind him that Cell can regenerate, Cell does just that, and shows extreme anger at Gohan. He tries to transform to SSJ2 to himself, out of blind rage, but only makes it to USSJ, as he hasn't got Gohan's cells in him. Cell tries to attack Gohan, but as Trunks points out, Cell's muscles are too big and bulky for Cell to attack effectively. Gohan kicks Cell in his cheek, and Cell quivers in pain. As he does so, Gohan kicks Cell in the large stomach. Cell keels over in pain, and suddenly starts looking ill. Spit starts to spurt out of his mouth, as he tries to hold it back. Cell, however, can't keep down a lump in his throat, and he regurgitates something. As some of Cell's saliva oozes away, the Z Senshi see it is Android 18. Cell is yelling in pain, and his muscles start to swell and swill, at different moments. It is revealed that Gohan was making Cell revert to his second form, making him Imperfect Cell again.

252. Ready to Fuse?
Early on, the newly transformed Buu and Gohan get it on! Buu is tearing Gohan apart apparently as he struggles to hold on. But remaining vilgilent he continues to fight on. Here and there, Gohan's rage deflect and block a few attacks but it's not enough.
Just as Buu decides to finish off Gohan, Dende runs over to his badly beaten body and heals him! Buu is confused, "A whole new Gohan? How can this be?", and sees if Piccolo can explain the event he just witnessed. After briefly searching his mind, he finds out about Dende's special healing powers and promises he will make him pay for that little stunt. Gohan once again freezes up (like in the Vegeta and Nappa Saga and countless other times)and Buu aims his finger at Dende! Goodbye! Hercule, with little and dumb determination, shoots his gun at the approaching blast hoping somehow to destroy it. His bullets inaffectually come bouncing back and they pray for a miracle. But, inches before the blast can reach Dende, the blast is amazingly deflected! As the camera zooms in reverse through a triangle shaped hand, Tien is revealed! Narrowly saving Dende and Hercule. Buu tries to kill him also but Tien avoids his beam.
With Tien now here, he decides to put Majin Buu's power to the test as he prepares another Tri-Beam Cannon attack! But Buu is unharmed by the attack and sees he is even weaker than Gohan.
Back on the planet of the Kais, Old Kai has already sacrificied his life for Goku's and given him a new strategy. Fusion! But this is no ordinary kind as he hands both his earrings to him. With a flashback, Old Kai explains how he came to learn the tragedy of the fusion earrings. One day, while sitting under a tree reading a comic,(which contained a girl in a bikini who catches and slaps an oggler. Master Roshi???) an old witch approaches him. "Why is a boy wearing earrings? They would be much prettier on a woman!", says the witch, grabbing one of his earings and placing it on her ear. But before the Old Kai can warn her, they are fused permanently and that is the cause of his wrinkly face and weird yet amazing techniques. Kibito and Supreme Kai give it a try but before they learn the bond is permanent! Goku with a new strategy in mind wonders, "If I fuse with Gohan I hope Chi-Chi doesn't make us to school together!"
With no one left to challenge Buu back on Earth, Buu creates an energy ball capable of destroying all of them and the Earth! Moments before the catastrophic blast is launched, Goku Instant Transmission's in and cuts Buu in half with a huge Destructo Disc! Pony tail, blood and the lower chunk containing his legs spew from the cut! But Majin Buu has felt no pain! To everyone's surprise, Goku has arrived! Saving the Earth from its doom once more.
Ready for a new challenge, Buu allows Goku to perform whatever it is he is about to do. Foolishly overthrowing Gohan the earring. He loses it and the chance of them fusing. Buu has already seen and experienced the fusion so he charges at Goku! With no other alternative, Goku goes Super Saiyan 3 instantaneously! Trying to buy Gohan some time. Although Goku can avoid most of his attacks, he still is no match to defeat Buu. While they are looking, Gotenks defuses inside Majin Buu! And so does over a third of his power! Gohan finds the earring but is told he no longer needs it. But what's this? Buu isn't scared? As he points to his pony tail! Look out Gohan! It's right behind you! Buu has devoured another victim AND Goku's chance of fusing! Gohan has been absorbed and added to Majin Buu's collection. Is there any hope for Goku now? Who can he possibly fuse with?! Tien's out cold, Dende is not a prime candidate to fuse with, and the only person left alive on Earth is Hercule??!! Man, they sure do pick 'em! The fate of the Earth lies on Goku's and Hercule's shoulders? Don't worry Goku! Help is on the way! As Vegeta and Baba speed away from Other World to aid the Z fighters in their time of need! Stay tuned for the exciting events to come on......Dragonball Z!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Season 7
262. End of Earth
Kid Buu has formed and so has his anger. For some reason he is now pure evil. Kibito-Kai explains why this is the original form of Buu, and a long, informative flashback occurs where you meet Bibidi, and are shown the fight with Buu and the Supreme Kais that we heard about in the Babidi Saga. Kid Buu absorbs only TWO Kais in the entire flashback! But later during the flashback Supreme Kai says that they were all absorbed which is false. The two Kais who were absorbed were the South Kai and the Supreme Kai (who was QUITE HEFTY at that time), so when Kid Buu absorbed him, he took on the characteristics of that Kai, and made him Fat Buu, weakening him because of Supreme Kai's purity and innocence. This made him less of a killer and more of a child. It was enough of a change for the last and new Supreme Kai to kill Bibidi and lock Buu up in his ball.
Back on Earth, Kid Buu demonstrates his power and creates a beam so powerful that it is capable of destroying the Earth 10 times over!!! When the blast is aimed at Vegeta and Goku they decide to make a run for it! Goku says they can Instant Transmission to the Kai's planet with their sons and Piccolo......but........Goku is faced with a mind torturing decision. Save my sons or save Dende and Hercule? (who look at him with the most helpless look you can give anybody) Goku makes the toughest decison of his life and......saves Dende and Hercule. Wasting no time, the blast does exactly what it set out to do, destroying the Earth in one quick yet long, blinding flash of light and implodes on itself!! Everyone near by seems to take notice of Earth's death. The Namekians on their near by planet, Old Kai, and King Kai. Everyone else though didn't know it was destroyed much less noticed. This is the most devasting episode you will ever watch. The Earth is gone and so are Gohan, Goten, Piccolo and Trunks.
b: 17-Mar-2003 pc: 277 w: Eric Johnson (X)
NOTE: I do not believe Instant Transmission was any good because Goku could not sense Gohan, Goten, Piccolo, or Trunks's energy because they were out cold. (Jedi-master-18) ("While this is partly true, it is not completely accurate. If Goku can see or knows the exact location of his destination then energy sensing is not required." Powerpole)
These last episodes (which were actually shown along with Season 6 in the reruns) received their very own Toonami intro.
This episode marks the deaths of Gohan,Goten,Piccolo,Trunks,Tien and Chaiotzu Note:Tien and Chaiotzu deaths are off-screen
During his transformation to Kid Buu, Super Buu increases to a hulking, muscular form. We find out that in this empisode that this is the form Buu took when he absorbed South Kai, who was also very tall and muscular.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
263. True Saiyans Fight Alone
In the rubble of the destroyed Earth, Kid Buu reforms and goes seeking high energy levels which must be the two Saiyans. He eventually finds his way to Grand Kai's planet and kicks around Krillin, Yamcha, Olibu, and Pikkon. Kibitokai offers Goku his Potara Earrings so they can fuse again, but Goku refuses, saying true Saiyans fight alone. Before anyone can object, Vegeta smashes another earring. The two power up and just as Kid Buu was going to blow up Grand Kai's world, he teleports to Supreme Kai's to fight the Saiyans.

264. Battle For the Universe Begins
Goku starts out the fight with Kid Buu as a regular Super Saiyan and they begin obliterating the landscape. Dende, Old Kai, and Kibitokai teleport to another planet to watch the fight through the crystal ball, accidentally leaving behind Hercule, who jumped off a cliff believing he was dreaming, and Bee who went looking for him. Goku and Kid Buu bounce around for a while and then Goku powers up to Super Saiyan 3.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
265. Vegeta's Respect
Goku fights with Kid Buu as a Super Saiyan 3 and is doing quite well, though it raises the question how he plans to kill a putty-like baddie. Vegeta watches the fight with admiration and begins a flashback to his entire history with Goku, beginning in the Saiyan Saga and going all the way up to the point where Vegeta blew himself up to defeat Buu. Down in Hell, Frieza and the other villains are watching and Babidi takes the credit for Buu being so strong, though he secretly wishes for Buu to lose. Goku realizes at the end of the fight that he doesn't have the energy to beat Buu and he'll need Vegeta to run interference while he builds it up.

NOTE: In the edited version Hell is called the Home for Infinite Losers or HFIL.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
266. Minute of Desperation
While Goku gathers energy for an attack he hopes will defeat Majin Buu once and for all, Vegeta fights and gets slapped around like nobody's business. He gets knocked down time and time again, but keeps getting up and reentering the battle. Buu is eventually quite scared at how well Vegeta is fighting, but gets the Saiyan into a head lock and begins squeezing, bringing him closer and closer to death while all Goku can do is watch.
b: 21-Mar-2003 pc: 281 w: Eric Johnson (X)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
267. Old Buu Emergest
Just as Vegeta's head is about to pop off, Kid Buu gets kicked aside. Hercule has joined in and is trying to defeat the "wimpy" Kid Buu. Every time Kid Buu goes to hit Hercule, he misses or holds back. Old Buu is still inside him and he can't hurt his friend. Finally Kid Buu gets mad and spits out the Old Buu onto the ground, where he lies unconscious. With nothing to stop him and Hercule knocked aside he goes after Goku again, but Vegeta rejoins the fight until Old Buu gets up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
268. Earth Reborn
Vegeta yells for Old Kai and Dende and the others to go to New Namek and they do and meet Elder Mori, who has already gathered the Namek Dragon Balls. They wish for Earth to come back and for everybody who was killed since the morning of the martial arts tournament to be brought back to life. They come back and then Vegeta tells Goku he's going to need to make a Spirit Bomb, combining all the power of the people of Earth - as much as they can take.
b: 25-Mar-2003 pc: 283
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
269. Call To Action
Vegeta calls the people of Earth to try and get them to give energy and only the Z Fighters and friends thereof give energy. characters such as Bora, Upa, Giran, Nam, Launch, Android 8 (Eighter), Snow, The Mummy, Spike, and others from Dragon Ball in this and the next episode. Very little energy is given and Old Buu can't hold out much longer against Kid Buu.
b: 26-Mar-2003 pc: 284
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
270. People of Earth Unite
When Vegeta is unable to get the people of Earth to give their energy, the team begins despairing. Old Buu gets knocked out and Vegeta is forced to return to the battle. Goku begins pleaing with the people of Earth, but they refuse to listen. Only a few others give any energy. Finally, Hercule steps up and yells at the Earthlings to raise their hands and Majin Buu will be destroyed.
b: 27-Mar-2003 pc: 285
NOTE: A lot of cameos from the original Dragon Ball Saga are here. From what I've seen this includes a now teenage Upa, Bora, Eighter (the eighth android), a grownup Suno and her village, Launch (the girl who mentiones "That guy sounded cool"), Nam, Beast Giran, Bandages, and Spike the devil.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
271. Spirit Bomb Triumphant
Kid Buu whomps on Vegeta more and beats him into a pulp and then sits down on top of him, giving Goku the ultimatum that if he destroys Buu, he kills Vegeta. Old Buu jumps in and knocks Kid Buu back, then yells for Hercule to grab Vegeta and get him out of the way. He does and Goku throws the Spirit Bomb, but it's just not enough. Vegeta yells at Dende to wish Goku back to full strength and he goes Super Saiyan and kills Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb.
b: 28-Mar-2003 pc: 286
NOTE: Goku should have went Super Saiyan 3 while shooting the Spirit Bomb but I felt he thought it was unnecessary.
During the scene when Goku's energy has been restored and he goes Super Saiyan, the camera cuts to the scene in Hell or (HFIL) with all the villains gathered and watching the battle from the crystal ball for the last time, Goku has plain hair when it it should be golden.
Response to going Super Saiyan 3: Goku cannot generate a Spirit Bomb when he is in Super Saiyan form. The Spirit Bomb requires a calm heart, and a Super Saiyan has a heart filled with rage.
Does that also account for the Nimbus Cloud?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
272. Celebrations With Majin Buu
After Kid Buu is killed, Goku, Vegeta, Hercule, Dende, and Good Buu all return to Earth. Six months later Goku and the others wish for the Earthling's memory of Majin Buu to be erased and he's free to go get into all sorts of shenanigans out in the city. He wins a fight and gets money for ice cream and then helps Bulma carry her grocery bags home. Majin Buu and Bulma thwart a jewelry store heist who are really the guys he "accidentally" beat up the first time. Saiyaman and Saiyagirl, his new sidekick/girlfreind, arrive just in time (too late). Later, Goku, Trunks, and Goten are in the hot tub and the boys fuse and attack Super Saiyan Goku in a playful fight. The tub breaks and the two are left standing in front of their friends naked and Goku laughs while Chichi runs after Gotenks to spank him just like in the good ol' days.
b: 31-Mar-2003 pc: 287
NOTE: If the scene where Goku, Trunks and Goten go Super Saiyan and attack each other in the tub while Chichi chases Gotenks is real it must have happened in the Uncut version.
Even with Buu destroyed now, and these last five episodes just showing the aftermath of the Kid Buu saga, and all of DBZ, Cartoon Network still continues to show commercials advertisting DBZ with the "Battle Against Buu" theme. "True. But they are planning to rerun the episodes all over beginning with the Kid Buu fights."-Powerpole
Buu's adventure in the city is similar to Goku's first time in the city from Dragon Ball, including easily winning a fight to win money.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
273. He's Always Late
Chi-Chi, Gohan, and Goten prepare to go to Bulma's house for a barbeque, but Goku is nowhere to be found. As Chi-Chi's anger rises, Goku is having troubles of his own. While waiting to witness the hatching of four dragon eggs, troubles arise casting him into the role of the egg protector. Goku must do his best to guard the fragile eggs not knowing that he will soon face another danger, an angry Chi-Chi!

Party attendants include: Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo,[Kid] Trunks, Goten, Dende, Hercule, [Fat] Majin Buu, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Krillin, 18, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Master Roshi, Maron, Puar, Oolong, Ox-King, & Turtle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
274. Grandaughter Pan
Ten years have passed since the evil Majin Buu was destroyed, and the Earth is enjoying a time of peace! Gohan has become a scholar and is happily married to Videl. Trunks and Goten have become strong, young teenagers! Vegeta and Bulma have a new daughter named Bulla! And, oh yes!, Goku's a grandfather!
b: 03-Apr-2003 pc: 289
NOTE: This episode introduces Pan. Trunks looks like his future counterpart and Goten no longer has his dad's hairdo.
Goku, Chi-Chi, and Hercule are grandparents. Goten is an uncle, Gohan is a father, and Videl is a mother of their new-born daughter, Pan.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
275. Buu's Reincarnation
Goku has Mr. Buu magically rig the drawings so he can fight Uub in the first round of the World Martial Arts Tournament. Uub, a ten year-old human boy, is the reborn, pure good, form of Kid Buu! But before Goku can forfill his request Pan must first face off against Wild Tiger in her first match. See the irony? Only at the tender age of 4 she has already learned martial arts and the ability to fly! Watch out Goten and Trunks as there may be a new Super Saiyan! Although Pan's childish attitude is deceiving (Number One! Number One! Yay!) she wallops the oversized competitor to the ground with ease and with more than I could bear cartoonish graphics (the chin of Wild Tiger's shooting sparks off as he slides across the match floor and the peeling off a wall like a flatten pancake! Just because this is the second to last episode doesn't mean we don't deserve quality!). Goku finally faces Uub. After Goku realizes Uub is very nervous he decides to loosen him up by making him angry through the use of insults and calling his family names, something you dont want to do to a former Majin Buu!
b: 04-Apr-2003 pc: 290
NOTE: The episode number for this episode is actually 291. The U.S. version condensed about 15 to 16 episodes together during the first two seasons.
Goku says his plea to bring back Buu to be a good person was granted by King Yemma. Not revealed in the series, but Goku actually used the Dragonballs during the 10-year battle hiatus period to restore Buu as Uub.
Anybody notice the fighter in the biker outfit ? I feel this character represents a gay biker dude, look at the way he winks at Trunks!!! It's nasty and kind of stereotypical not that I care.
The US version edits out the fact that the guy Trunks has to fight is a homosexual.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
276. Goku's Next Journey
Uub, growing stronger as the battle rages, is able to learn to fight during his match with Goku, soon becoming the Saiyan's equal! Neither warrior gives an inch in this fast paced, destructive battle. But before the match is decided, Goku makes a startling offer to Uub. With his plan revealed, Goku and Uub depart the arena leaving a stunned crowd in their wake.
b: 07-Apr-2003 pc: 291
NOTE: This is sadly the final episode of Dragon Ball Z. DBZ continues into Dragon Ball GT but GT only lasts a little over 60 episodes, and becomes the shortest DB series.
Unlike the japanese version of this episode, it does not show previews of Dragonball GT at the end. In Japan, the previews did not contain anything that had to be cut, and FUNimation has already dubbed, and started advertising Dragonball GT online, so what is there to hide? Showing the preview would not be neccesary, but it'd be nice to show the television fans what to expect next.
And because it was going to be on the first DVD of Fruits Basket.
At the end of the episode, scenes show Goten fighting Pan. This means that he defeated Majin Buu in Round 1 of the Tournament, which seems rather unusual. The only way this theory is incorrect is if the fights got switched around due to Goku and Uub's absences.
This episode marks the end of the Dragonball Z series. Dragonball GT is a series completely made up by Toei Animation, although the creator of Dragonball, Akira Toriyama, did help make the episodes.
After the airing of this season, Cartoon Network aired the season again, and the again combined with Season 6. After that, they began showing Captain Ginyu saga reruns all the way to the Androids saga. And then, on October 3rd, Dragonball GT airs, after having released numerous tapes over the spring and summer.
This episode was part of the DVD/VHS titled "Kid Buu - A New Beginning".
vegeta says "the next time we fight, we'll need a whole planent to battle on". this is kinda true, because in DBGT, vegeta (controlled by bebi) and goku battle on the whole planet tuffle
Actually, during Goten and Pan's fight you can see almost no one in the bleachers, and Trunks seems to be acting as referee (JP version). I'd guess they fought for fun after the tournament ended. Note how Pan is four and beat Goten... n.n

Feature Movie
Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan
This story takes place when Vegeta is asked to travel to the Planet Vegeta by Paragus, who is a fact a saiyan. So the others travel to the planet to thwart this so-called legendary super saiyan. While they are on the planet, Paragus start feeding Vegeta these lies about the planet and the legendary super saiyan and this is where Broly is first introduced. Broly has pent-up frustration towards Goku and triggers his hidden powers. Once the others realizes who Broly is and who Paragus really is, an allout battles for the universe begins. With Broly powered up to the Ultra form of super saiyan, even Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo & Vegeta's strength combined are no match for him. But when everyone starts feeding their energy to Goku, they manage to be victorious. But the question is, Will Broly return for revenge? It's anyone's guess!!!!!!
b: 26-Aug-2003
NOTE: Dragonball Z movie 8.
Broly will return in DBZ movies 10 and 11.
The movie takes place sometime during the Cell saga after Trunks, Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku finish their training in the hyperbolic time chamber.
In the original Japanese version, Broly was spelled Brolly.
This movie does not take place during the Cell saga, nor does it take place anywhere else. All the DBZ movies are filler made by Toei Animation, not the original manga, and they don't fit into the timeline at all, creating many plotholes.
The movies DO fit into continunity, especially the Cooler movies and "Brolly: The Legendary Super Saiyan" there is no evidence to prove that they anything but filler material
The moves DON'T fit into the DBZ timeline. For one Gohan could go Super Saiyan 2 when he left the time chamber. So he could have killed Brolly by himself. Plus Brolly was just an Ultra Saiyan and after the time chamber training all the earth Saiyans could reach this level. And in the first Cooler Gohan had a tail which we know is false. Gohan lost his tail fighting Vegeta in the Saiyan saga.
Gohan couldn't goo SSJ2 when he left the time chamber and even that probobaly wouldn't be able to beat Broly. Also, if Gohan were SSJ2 in that movie, Goku would be dead.
1 - some DBZ movies take place, while other's don't. movie 1 - doesnt - raditz kidnapped gohan, and right after picclo took him to train movie 2 - doesnt - there is no "episode gap" in the saiyan saga movie 3 - doesnt - (same as movie 2) movie 4 - doesnt - goku uses kaioken, but after he defeats vegeta, he goes to the hospital and strait to namek, and picclo is dead during that time. movie 5 - does - takes place during 3 year gap, some time while the z warriors we're training movie 6 - doesnt - dende is guardian, but dende doesnt ebcome guardian until gohan is atleast super saiyan movie 7 - doesnt - there is no gap between android and cell saga, so it couldn't take place movie 8 - doesnt - it can't be before cell games because vegeta, trunks and picclo are traing and it cant be after because goku is dead movie 9 - does - trunks says he's came back to visit, and goku's dead and so is king kai because of cell (they mention his name) movie 10 - doesnt - cuz movie 8 dont exsist movie 11 - doesnt - cuz movie 8 dont exsist movie 12 - doesnt - vegeta is dead, and at that time goku was either on eart, or surpreme kai's planet, and the begging he was fighting pikkon, even though goku can turn SSJ2/SSJ3, which is much stronger then pikkon and goku was enver at grand kai's planet while vegeta was dead movie 13 - does - goku says "your alot stronger than buu", goku can turn SSJ3, gohan is in his "mystic" form, and so on. im sure, cuz ive seen all the movies, and know everything about DBZ 2 - paragus - pun for asparugus broly - pun for broccli just to let you all know
Gohan could only go SSj2 in the hyperbolic time chamber and fighter cell because he had extreme anger built up inside him
The DBZ movies don't actually take place anywhere in the timeline. It doesn't matter how hard you try to put them there they don't go into it. You can get a visual of aroound where the movies would be on the timeline if they could fit into it, but other than that they just don't fit in.

b: 07-Nov-2003 pc: 1- 16 recap w: Christopher Neel , Eric Johnson (X), Jeremy Carlile
NOTE: In order to make the show more exciting, Funimation has removed the first 16 episodes of DBGT. The removed episodes had our heroes traveling around the universe looking for dragonballs and meeting a lot of minor characters. These episodes take place after the first episode but before Dr. Myuu and the robots are introduced. Fortunately for hardcore fans, the "Lost" episodes will be released on DVD at a later date.
This is not really an episode of Dragonball GT. Due to the first saga "The Black Dragonball Saga" being duller than paint drying, Funimation decided to dub the series from episode 17 onwards, and they summarized the first 16 episodes into this one recap episode. This episode is non-exsistent in the Japanesse GT version though.
On YTV, they are airing the first 16 episodes for the show, dubbed in english and everything.
Pilaf and his lackeys-Shu and Mai-from Dragon Ball return in this episode. You'd think Pilaf would give up world domination in his old age! This episode has them because it is basically a recap of the first 16 episodes that weren't shown in the US.
Begins the "Baby" saga.
