[Sunday, May 16, 2004] Just a quick note to let you all know that voting has now officially begun for Season One! Click on the voting link that is located off to the right! Be sure to read the voting rules CAREFULLY (there are only a few of them)! Also, if you made it as a finalist, it might help you get more votes if your spread the word. LoL.

[Friday, May 14, 2004] The FINALISTS have been posted on the site for Season I, so everyone can now go and check it out! To everyone who made it as a finalist, good luck for the voting round. To everyone else who did not make it as a finalist, there is always next season and you are welcome to try again!
I should have voting proceedures up by Saturday evening or sometime Sunday. It all depends on how much time I get. But when I get it all set up, along with a set of voting rules, I will send out another notification so everyone who is a finalist can spread the word.

[Tuesday, May 11, 2004] It is official everyone! The nomination period for Season I of the Room To Breathe Fan Fiction Awards is now over! Thank you to everyone who sent in nominations, because every nomination was a big help! I'm also happy to say that only three categories were disqualified:
Best Group Story
Best Comedy
Nick Carter's Cheesiest Smile Award for Funniest Scene
Those three categories did not reach the minimum of 3 nominations. I have also made the decision not to bring back Best Comedy and Nick Carter's Cheesiest Smile Award for Funniest Scene next season due to the fact that those two categories never seem to recieve many nominations, if any at all. Best Group Story will be back next season, of course. So no worries.
I've decided to change the waves a bit. 1st Wave originally was going to be voting, but I have decided to switch it so that the 1st Wave will be judged and the 2nd Wave will be voting. I will be doing the judging myself, so the dates may or may not change. All depends on how quickly I can get my reading done. I will be sure to keep you updated on that. Otherwise, keep checking back to the site for any updates and when it comes time for voting, let everyone know!

[Monday, April 19, 2004] So it has been a week since I last updated. I've got an excuse...honest! Thing is, I think my lap top has busted for the moment being. It's really acting up and I'm guessing it might have a virus and I don't want to chance turning it back on and messing with it again until I can get it checked. Until then and maybe until my 'rents get back from Vegas and I have access to my dad's lap top (his is being wierd also), I'll have to resort driving over to my dad's office to use his computer, which is where I am right now. So that explains the lack of updates. Anyway, I've only recieved a couple new nominations. Where are all of you nominees at? Keep sending those in, peeps! [Monday, April 12, 2004] And I'm BACK! I have to say I am doing pretty darn good with these updates! But I figured I oughta update since I recieved more nominations! And guess what? A category has already CLOSED. Yep, that's right. BEST UNRECOGNIZED AUTHOR has been CLOSED! That category is no longer accepting nominations. Only two days taking nominations so far and already a category has been closed and another is one away from being closed. I say the awards are off to a good start! [Sunday, April 11, 2004] HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! I've decided to give another quick update for the holiday and I hope everyone is having a good one! I've already recieved a few nominations and they are posted, so I wanted to post the list here of which categories have recieved nominations so far! [Saturday, April 10, 2004] *sings and dances* Heyyyyy yaaaaa! Heyyy yaaa! Great song and gets so easily stuck in my head. Hmmm... Anywho! I, Ashley (1/3 of the 3 Crazy Blonde Sisters), have decided to branch out from running the Step Back From Reality Fan Fiction Awards with my sisters and try my hand at my own awards. Hopefully it'll run smoothly...*laughs nervously* Nah, I'm sure it'll be sweet! Onto other notes, everything has been set up so I'm ready to start recieving your nominations. The only thing I still have to set up is the nominees page and that will only take about five minutes to do, so I will get to that in a moment. With that out of the way, the first season of the Room To Breathe Awards is up and running! Lets make it a good one!
