PREAMBLE The Toastie Times is the official and occasional journal of ToastieSoc. Toastie Times is published in printed and e-mail formats.
1.0 Members of ToastieSoc that elect their subscription to be provided in e-mail format hereafter referred to as e-mail subscribers accept the condition that due to circumstances beyond the control of the ToastieSoc executive committee and technical difficulties that may occur delivery may be delayed or aborted.
1.1 Members of ToastieSoc that elect their subscription to be provided in printed format hereafter referred to as traditional subscribers accept the condition that due to the costs of printing and associated overheads that arise out of paper provision, certain charges may be imposed. (a)Traditional subscribers that reside outside the University of Oxford must provide a stamped addressed envelope to their place of residence before delivery of each edition will commence. Traditional subscribers must send the S.A.E. to Thomas Ableman at Merton College, Oxford, OX1 4JD (b) Traditional subscribers that reside within the University of Oxford but without Merton College may if circumstances are conducive to the successful completion of the operation have delivery of The Toastie Times by pigeon post. Subject to demand a charge of not more than 15 pence may be imposed. (c) Traditional subscribers that reside within Merton College hereby described as all accommodation owned by the college including Holywell may have Toastie Times delivered by hand in mitigating circumstances (see 1.3). Subject to demand a charge of not more than 15 pence may be imposed.
1.3 Section 1.3 refers to traditional subscribers resident at Merton College Oxford, as described in 1.2 (c). Subscription to the printed format will be accepted by the publishers in the following circumstances subject to availability: (a) If the subscriber does not have easy access to e-mail facilities. (b) If it has been proven to be impossible to download The Toastie Times from the e-mail facilities to which the subscriber has access, and excluding the facilities here described the situation for the subscriber is as described in 1.3 (a). (c) The subscriber pays a charge per edition of 20p (d) At the editor's discretion.
2.0 ToastieSoc accepts no responsibility for the content of The Toastie Times, or any consequences that may arise from publication. These include: (a) Death or injury, including self-inflicted (b) Offence (c) Psychological disorders (d) Tom Stoneham (e) Being burnt on a toastie maker
2.1 Recipes that may from time to time be included in The Toastie Times carry no recommendation from ToastieSoc and are not guaranteed to be edible.
