Where can one find Top Toasties? other than in the rooms of ToastieSoc members... Top toastie vendors: Greenhead College, Huddersfield (only before 11.15am though!): Any combination of fillings for 1 pound. Choose from tuna, tomato, onion, tomato, cheese, ham, mushroom... Latymer caf' (Hassan's), Edmonton: very good. Free grease-proof paper. Merton College Bar, Oxford: Amazing alternative to illegal toastie makers Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Liverpool Bonjour Rapide, Oxford High Street. Not technically toasties, but spanking paninis which are basically long flat baguette-style, umm... toasties.
