An Old View
There is one thing that hasn't changed in the lives of teenagers; their attitude towards sex. Sex is still an uncomfortable subject to talk about, even though we are well into the 21st century. The topic of sex came up on UWEC's TV10 on a show called Lovelines. There is a difference of opinions between young and old on this topic. When I say old, I hope I don't affend anyone. I'm eighteen, almost nineteen years old, and I consider anyone older than me old. The reason why I think there's such a difference in opinions is because society changes with time and as a result, opinions of what is acceptable in life also changes.
On the show there were two adults that helped answer various questions asked by student callers and audience members. They were Diane, a nurse practitioner, and Dr. Dick, a psychologist. These professionals took their turn answering questions. Even when the questions were off the wall, they answered them with grace and dignity and no matter what the question was about, they always answered informatively and with style.
I respected Diane and Dr. Dick for going on TV10 and answering questions from students regarding the topic of sex. It is not easy for everyone to talk about this topic. It's comforting to know that there is someone to go to if you have questions or need help.
