Welcome to the home page of the Voodoo Game Launcher, a little program I wrote to allow you to configure all your 3dfx Advanced settings and save them so when you run a game from within the program, it will load up your settings for that game without having to always go to the display properties every time and manually do it.

  • This program supports Windows95, Windows98, Windows Millenium (ME) and Windows 2000. It MAY work on Windows NT 4.0 but I cannot promise anything (sorry).
  • Supports the following video cards: Voodoo3 (all models), Voodoo5 5500 AGP & PCI. Since no other announced cards have been released, I cannot gaurantee this program will work on them when they first come out, although I see no real reason why it shouldn't, 3dfx may throw a curve at me somewhere along the line. Sorry, no nVidia or other crappy cards are supported (sorry, couldn't resist a little dig in there)

  • Happy New Year to everyone. I've finally gotten around to releasing this latest version. Since most of the bugs are ironed out and I'm honestly too lazy to bother fixing up the other ones, this will probably be my last release. I do plan on releasing the source code should someone else feel like fixing the problems and adding new features to it, or just to play around with if you're bored. I'll release that once I've had time to organize it and bundle everything up nicely with instructions how to install everything needed for it... I also need to update the documentation listing all the new features and such, but in the mean time, go ahead and get this version.
  • I've now updated the release notes for this latest version...
  • Here is the source code. I used Borland Delphi 4 to write this program, although I'm pretty sure Delphi 5 will handle this as well. If you are using Delphi 3, you won't get the pretty icons on the popup menu, sorry. I will get all the extra components that I used compiled and uploaded shortly, probably not today, though. Pleas feel free to e-mail me with questions on this, but please try to figure it out yourself first.

  • Alright, I've got my list of beta testers all set and I'll be notifying you people shortly and be sending you a little program to test out and provide feedback on. That will hopefully be today or tomorrow and then, providing all goes well, I'll have a final version out shortly after that.

  • Okay, I need a little help from a few people. I'm looking for about five beta testers to help me test some new things and help me iron out some bugs in my program. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me at the address below. Requirements are you must own a Voodoo3/4/5 (obviously! heh), have a good command of the English language and be willing to spend a few minutes to provide as many details as possible on a bug you find. Also, please tell me your system specs (Hardware, OS, and the main programs you use the Voodoo Launcher with...) in the e-mail since I want as wide a selection as possible.
  • I'm also planning on adding the new Hidden Surface Removal and Guardband Clipping features that have been introduced with the latest beta drivers, so have no worries!
