Many People hardly know a thing about Gender Dysphoria, and find it very confusing to read about it without knowing what all the terms mean. So i will attempt to give some definitions, personal and offical.

The DSM is the standard reference for psychological disorders in the US. It doesn't give any insight as to how badly someone suffers with any disorder, but attempts to give guide-lines for diagnosis. This link doesn't lead directly to the DSM, i haven't found it online yet. Instead this is a site dealing with *different* sexuality.

Gender Dysphoria
Gender Dysphoria is a state of mind where the subject is unsure about which sex s/he should belong to. The range for gender dysphoria goes from mild philosophical speculation all the way to true transsexuality and SRS. Most people sooner or later in their lives go through such a stage. However, this usualy doesn't lead to any serious troubles in the subjects live.

Transgendered
This is a catch-all phrase for people who express their gender differently then what is usually associated with their biological sex. This includes Crossdressers, Transsexuals, Intersexuals, Butch Lesbians, Dragqueens, etc, etc. For an overview of what it can mean, try clicking on this link, which will take you to a random site of the TransGendeRing.

Dressing
For most people this simply means getting dressed. For me however this means getting dressed in womens clothing. The opposite to Dressed is Drab, when i'm in my old clothes.

Gender and Sex
Now this is a huge subject, and the debate as to what makes the difference between them, indeed even what they are, is roaring. Simply put, Sex is biological, while Gender is cultural. Most people in western culture would say that there are two sexes, male and female, but other cultures recognize a third sex. Others would say that the sexes are hetero-, homo-, bi-, trans-, inter-, and a-sexual. But this might allready fall under gender. Indeed it is very hard to draw a line between gender and sex. However, in my comprehension gender is closely linked to self-expression, and as such everybody would have their own individual gender. Gender studies is a huge and extremly interesting field, however i don't have the time or resources to educate you about it.

Transitioning

Changeing one's sex is loads more then just a bit of surgery. The process takes many years, and includes learning how to appear as ones chosen sex, voice training, electrolysis (for MtF), therapy, hormone therapy, living as one's chosen sex, getting an official name change, coming out to friends, relatives, work-collegues.
In another definition Transition is the time between when the transsexual first starts living in his/her preffered gender and the actual surgery. Surgery is the final act of transitioning.

As i write this i am at the very beginning of my transition.

SRS
SRS stands for Sexual Reasignemt Surgery. It is the last step of a sex-change, and probably the easiest. After SRS it is extremly difficult to distinguish a transsexual from a biological wo/man.

Genderbending
I guess that is what i do these days. I don't go out fully dressed, cause i haven't got any winter-clothes, but i certainly send out mixed gender-signals. And that's what Genderbending is, sending out mixed signal. (please correct me if i'm wrong)

Genderfuck
Sending out really mixed up signals (not giving a fuck), for example wearing a miniskirt with a beard. The first time i met someone doing a genderfuck i was really impressed, and thought hir very courageous. But it's not what i aim for.

Passing and Reading
Seems obvious to me, we pass when people see us as our preferred gender, while reading is when they realize what we "really" are. Expect that yesterday i was read as a woman, even though i was in drab. (i have read that women and children are more apt to read us then men and older people) (who's surprised about that? men are so superficial for the most part) (of course i'm not talking about you, you've just proven the contrary by reading all the way to here *chuckle*)
