| The final placings did not show the gutsy performance the H-D squad did today. The team placed last in a four team meet but were only 3 points out of 2nd place. As the smallest team there by far most athletes were pushing the event limits to scrape for every last point but fell just short to teams that had 6 people in each event. It was a good experience though. The 95 degree weather with the shining sun still couldn't stop the few members we had from racking up points. These are people with top 3 placings: Rodney Bradner, 1st High Jump and 3rd 100m James Stafford, 1st 3200m and 2nd 800m Chris McKee, 1st 110m Hurdles and 2nd High Jump Jeremy Gaudet, 3rd 200m Zach Emerson, 1st 1-Mile John Gagnon, 3rd 3200m Bradner, McKee, Emerson and Gaudet, 3rd 4X100m Relay McKee, Stafford, Emerson, Gagnon, 3rd 4X400m Relay Overall the meet was very exciting. It has been a long time since a H-D squad has been in contention at any meet. This team will be very solid for many years to come. |
