The Outdoor season has ended, though most meets were cancelled due to the 8' of snow that didn't leave every track in New Hampshire until April. A lot of our athletes still worked very hard indoors. With our new coaches Officer J. Eric Hood and Dean Schnider it was a great start and the team of 25+ (mostly runners) was very close and always had high spirits. This was a very fun team to be around and the athletes really looked forward to each and every practice. Look for highlights of each meet. Two HDHS Records fell on 5-10-01 at a 5 team meet at Laconia. The 4 X 100m relay team of Jeremy Gaudet, Chris McKee, Doug Cook, and Rodney Bradner tied the school record with a 48.7!!! The 4 X 400m relay team of Chris McKee, James Stafford, Zach Emerson, and Doug Cook smashed the record by 5 seconds with a time of 3:52.8!!! Great job guys. The only H-D male runner to make it to the Meet of Champions since 1989, Zach Emerson, set a new school record in the 3200m, 10:18.3, while placing 11th out of 16 seeded runners from all over the state! Great season guys! |
