| MEET # 3 @ Belmont High School 5-5-2001 Pre-State Qualifying Meet |
| This is one of the hardest regular season meets annualy for the Hillcat team. Each year at Belmont they hold a meet with every class S, M and I teams in the area, and some not in the area, to post some great marks hoping that the more teams the more talent. That gives the average runner the chance to run a time that will allow them to qualify for the state meet. It didn't go too well for the Hillcats today. Most of our athletes were not on top of their game but we all still had loads of fun. Some Highlights were: James Stafford, 4th in the 800m Doug Cook, 3d in the 400m and 6th in the 200m Zach Emerson, 6th in the 3200m Chris McKee, 3rd in the High Jump Mckee, Stafford, Ager, Cook, 5th in the 4x400m This really shows that our top athletes can compete with some of the top in the state. This was a meet that had one class S team, three class M teams and six class I teams. Our small team did well against that competion. Look out New Hampshire. Here come the Hillcats. |
