Sheasby Family

John and Susannah Sheasby (nee Mephane) had eight known children, John Nicholas, Thomas William, Susannah, Ann, Ann, Martha George, Mary Ann and Elizabeth, who were born in St Lukes, Finsbury, London, England, between 1825 and 1838. John was a Baker.

At least four children, John Nicholas, Susannah, Martha George and Mary Ann, emigrated to Victoria, Australia. Martha George and Mary Ann arrived in Victoria aboard the Agincourt in 1854, Susannah had arrived by 1855 and John Nicholas (a Baker and Seaman) may have arrived by 1857 as according to his death certificate he had been in Victoria for 40 years in 1897.

In March 1855 Susannah married John Clarke (a widower) in Geelong, at which time they were both residing in the Ashby area. John born c.1823 London, ENG, was the son of James and Ann Clarke. By 1856 they had settled in Ballarat.

Martha George married Francis Munro Elliott in 1855 in Ballarat where they settled. Francis Munro born c.1831 USA, was the son of Francis Munro & Nancy Elliott (nee Barnes).

Mary Ann married Thomas Dellor Irvine in 1855 in Castlemaine and they settled in Tarnagulla. Thomas Dellor born c.1828 St Lukes, London, ENG, was the son of John Dellor & Mary Anne Sarah Irvine (nee Boundy). More information regarding the Irvine family can be found on the Irvine Family page.

I would be grateful to learn of any further possible information regarding the Sheasby family.
