In the temple last Wednesday, I was in the same session with Elder Christensen and Sister Hall, and happened to sit next to Elder Christensen. That was neat--Elder Jones, Elder Stoddard and I have developed an interesting handshake--Elder Stoddard was appointed as Assistant to tthe President *has* a couple of weeks ago, I started on my new scriptures last Tuesday-Valentine's day. It's kind of difficult not being able to find scriptures as easily without them all being red, but I hope I can make these new scriptures just as personally valuable as the old ones. Letters are nice. About two weeks ago, I think I was prompted to write a letter to Crista Bartholomew--I began it; but didn't finish and idn't act. Why I think I was is because of the strong impression,--several scriptures I found relating to questions about why, praying that if it was of God that it would be the first thing that I would think of the next morning, and finding out that there were five missionary farewells the weekend she would have got it--so she probably would have been home. I'm sorry I didn't completely obey; but I think I learned something through the experience. In the Large Group Meeting last Saturday the *lady* ^sister^ speaking talked about playing in a junior high orchestra conducted by a Mr. Wilhelmsen. I found out from Elder Jensen later that she was from Brigham City for a while - the instructor today was really good. He really convinced me of the importance of using investigators and members in finding people to teach. In a meeting we saw portions of the Karate Kid and how they related to the MTC. Wax On-Wax off. I discovered meaning I'd never noticed before in Alma 13:28 today. I'm going to try to gradually start getting up earlier each day until I'm up by 4:00 a.m. Elder Steel got his haair cut while it was still short-I may cut mine soon;even though it's only been a month. If I get delayed one week I'll get to waatch General Conference here--it could happen. I'm excited about a temple being built in Cochabamba-I'm doing somewhat better at basketball here than I did at home-Next Monday we begin to speak only Spanish in class-looking forward to it-There was a meeting Thursday for an hour almost completely in Spanish, and I understood almost all of it. That's all. The Gospel IS TRUE!!! ^Full testimony tomorrow.^ ^February 8 *was ^began^ my 1000th week.
