Back at camp, Sue and Brandon hugged and Brandon said, "Thanks, Sue, I guess this is it." Sue replied, "Yeah, I guess it is." In silence, they piled their fire up high and threw in all the old clothes and dirty camp supplies. Brandon pulled down his Mai Kai flag and stuffed it in his backpack, while Sue took down a few of the paint-splashed banners from the very same day. Finally, they were ready to go to tribal council for the last time. They looked each other in the eye and sighed a deep, heavy sigh. Sue waved at the camp as it disappeared behind the snow-laden trees. As the Final Two walked to meet their fate, Sue's thoughts wandered over how different the two were- they had started on opposite tribes and were at different ends of the game's age spectrum. Brandon had played the game quietly and honestly, while Sue had been far more devious and cunning. They finally arrived and sat down, with the structure of tribal council seeming gigantic with only the two of them. Adam soon walked in, and smiled. "You two are now at the turning point of the game- the power shifts from your hands to the hands of these seven people." As Adam was speaking, the seven members of the jury silently filed into their seats. "Now is your time to make opening statements to the people who will decide your fate in the game," Adam said. "Sue, you're up first."
SUE'S OPENING STATMENT:
"Ok. well I know that you all wanted Will and Brandon in the final two ..however ..I am here..so sorry for that..Where to begin, where to begin...well this game has had alot of turns and yes i guess mostly at my hand; however there was also alot of twists that i had no control over and I will say that had this game Merged instead of swapped it would have been a different game altogether...but the bottom line is....it was a swap .. and no one minded that i was left with Matt and Hayley or cared what happened to me when I had to go with Matt and Hayley and I was left to fend for MYSELF...and I think there were alot of people surprised to see that i survived that wrath...(AND BOY DID EVERYONE WANT ME WHEN I DID SURVIVE THAT ) and well I owe that to Will and Brandon for sure..I was honest with them from the start ...I told them of my three prior votes ..so they knew that as well..even before the first vote they knew that... (it was a mistake of everyones to not think i would forget that they technically did save me in this game..way back then...i never forgot..and although i never saw them hardly on line..they and I knew that nothing could be done till late in the game if we all survived....) I had hoped to keep Tamkwa and Sean in the game but unfortunately I had to convince Brandon and Will of that and well they werent communicating way back then..(i think basically no discussion would be had till later in the game and i understood that to be final...just cause i never saw them much after the swap had happend, but there was unspoken bond there..lol at least to me)..I can honestly say that the only person i backstabbed in this game was Mikey(NOT TAMKWA)..anyone else that thinks I was the one that did them in..has to think again (yes even you Eve)...Eve , Eve, Eve..lol..you never knew how many times even before you went that you were going..your apology once saved you that time..which disappointed me cause then it was switched to Tamkwa..however Tamkwa was slated to go the next time..and i knew and heard this as well..so i knew it was inevitable and nothing i could do could save him..NOTHIN..I was to go ON in this game and there was nothing I could do ..The votes were there everytime someone got the boot...had I NOT cast at all..it would NOT have mattered in the outcome of those votes and that is a fact..except for in Eve's and Mikey's votes..all the rest that got booted out...MY VOTED DIDNT MATTER..there was nothing I could do..and I knew it and well there are some people that just dont get that ..but they need to open their eyes..why would I deliberately wipe myself out..just because I knew YOU would be going..makes no sense at least not to me..I had to maintain some ground because i knew i was continuing on ..so dont be so dam jealous..it had nothing to do with backstabbing at all..cause that is not what it was..it is that simple..ok..lets see what else do people say in opening statements...umm..well just that I was glad to be stuck with Brandon and Will in that swap (and oh ya Eve dont forget ..i saved you back then as well..REMEMBER.. you need to really put your thinkin cap on ...had you decided to make your move a helluva ALOT earlier (so that some of my old tribe could be saved) it would have made all the difference in the world..but you didnt .. you only waited till you needed me to make your move and save yourself (you didnt figure it soon enough and that was a bad calculation on your part.) You thought you could USE me when it fit your scheme..however i already had a scheme by then and you quite simply were too late. I will say I was impressed that you actually thought of something to try..really I was..and it actually saved me(cause Mikey and Cory would have voted me out ..cause well they would have had to its simple as that..there bond was tight and I knew it) so why wouldnt have i gone along with it (its not like you weren't gonna be gone next and believe me you were gonna be)..i guess that is all for now..i do look forward to the questions..cause i do have an answer for everything i have done in this game..but i cant keep on in this opening statement or you wouldnt have any questions! Sue"
BRANDON'S OPENING SPEECH:
"Wow, this has been a great game with many twist,I really enjoyed
it but kinda
sad that its almost over it was really fun . I got to know most of you
very
well but a couple i didnt get the pleasure to talk to much or even meet
which
is a bummer ,you guys are all great people, I hope to keep in touch
with all
of you. At the start of the game and also during many changes i didnt
think i
was going to make this far but anything can happen . I believe i played
a
good game in many aspects, I never cheated in any way , I was true to
my many
tribes that i was on, i never lied to anybody in the game, except the
time i
told missy i wasnt going to vote for her which i was going to but i
forgot to
vote that time dumb me,lol. I did almost all of the challenges I even
won the
flag one which is a acomplishment to me because im not artisticly
inclined
and i won that.My strategy well i didnt have one but I stuck with all
of my
morales that i go bye every day i guess that is the strategy, or maybe
it was
because i am low key i dont really know .I cant forget the two people
who
were in charge of this whole game the host, you guys were great
host,this was
my first game and i dont think i will find better host in the next
games i
play, thank you for picking me to be on this game.
Michael,Sean,Missy,Eve,Mike,Corey and Will.It was great to get to know
you
guys if it wasnt for you i wouldnt be here now.i hope to keep in touch
with
all of you and goodluck to all of you in the future that gos for
Zach,Frank,Ryan,Lachlan,Haley,Matt,and Kim as well,GoodBye"
The jury sat silently for a second, absorbing all that they could from the words the Final Two had given them. Adam interrupted them suddenly. "It's time for questions," he said. "Eve, you're up first."
EVE'S STATEMENT: Brandon you have been very supportive of me throughout this and I thank you. You and Will have been the only people who have been 100% honest with me.
Sue. I came here today with an open mind thinking maybe, just maybe, I might even vote for you, but you decided to alienate me right from the start. You opened your mouth and horrible things came out. You apparently thought that I would vote for you after you told me how I was slated to go time after time. And whether you believe it or not your vote always matters. And then you think myself and the six members of the jury behind me are jealous of you. Jealous is far from my feelings from you. Then you have the audacity to call me stupid. Well, I'll tell you one thing. You picked the wrong bitch to screw with. Nobody calls me names. And to let you know I have been through more than probably all of everyone here. I was raised in poverty, with three siblings in an inner city school. My father ran away from us when I was seven. I was brought up my a single parent and drive-by's and violence was something I had to live with all my life. But I got out of the projects and am now living as happy life, I'm not rich or even middle class but I have been through all of that, and stayed on top. And I did not get to where I was by being stupid. Maybe you need to get your thinking cap on sweetie. I don't like you. You're a rotten person. You managed to backstab almost every member of this jury with the exception of Missy and Michael. You somehow are happy with your performance here. You lied to maybe you came in contact with. You took me for a sap. Sue, you are probably the worst person I've ever met. And I've met gang-bangers, drug dealers, prostitutes; horrible people. But you've managed to cruel to so many people and feel good about it. You have no morals. You have no integrity. And I hope you remember this. Not only in Survivor but in life, because if you act like this in you're everyday life... May God have mercy on your Soul.
SUE'S RESPONSE: EXCUSE ME..LOL..Obviously someone needs to vent though I am not sure what about..it would appear something about your life that you didnt or dont like..or do..not sure.but anyway if I am your target today that is ok..i have big shoulders - i dont believe i ever thought you would vote for me..LOL...something about you calling me bitch..long ago..told me that..lol...don't know where you ever got i thought you would vote for me..LOL..sorry i do find that funny..OMG am I allowed to say i thought Eve was funny..YIKES!!..well for such a well rounded gal..keep on going thru life exactly as you are...its ummm well...umm entertaining..for sure....and you will do well in life!..To you I say SORE LOSER..AND HOW MANY TIMES CAN A GAL GET IT WRONG!!!!!!!! Remind me never to play a board game with you..after all I believe this was a game..right??Then again i got so many other things..wrong maybe i got that wrong as well.
As Brandon sat silently, Missy got up to give her statement.
MISSY'S STATEMENT: I don't really have any questions. I feel I know both of you pretty well. I have enjoyed getting to know both of you. Brandon you flew under the radar and Sue ...lol...I don't think we could even see the radar it was so far below you...lol. Two totally different approaches to this game. Good Luck to both of you. I am ready to make my vote.
Corey got up next, ready to ask his question.
COREY'S QUESTION: OK guys, I know I would look like a sore loser if I didn't congratulate you...so congratulations, you two made it a long way in a very
difficult game. I have a question for you both, and I would appreciate an honest
answer. My question is: If you had to spend the rest of your life on a
deserted island, and you could bring three CD's to listen to, what >would
they be and why? Thank you both, and good luck.
BRANDON'S RESPONSE: The 3 cd's i would bring on a desserted island would
have to
be, 1.) System of a down - toxicity 2.) Beach boys- 20 good vibrations
3.)
Greenday-international super hits
SUE'S RESPONSE: 1) U2 (war) - cause well they know how to sing , impress it, state it, tell it like it is...and we can never be reminded enough about life
2) Rolling Stones (Tatto You) cause I love START ME UP...Can dance forever with that tune
3)Led Zepplin - (Stair way to Heaven)..its the most mellowist song on earth...and it was the last song of every single high school dance that i can remember and those are good memories to remember
WILL'S QUESTION: First of all, I'd like to congratulate the both of you on making it to the Final 2.
I believe the two of you realize that you are sitting where you are right now at the expense of 14 other people, 7 of which are about to seal your fate in this game. Then again, Survivor is not a game of self-sacrificing, but rather of self-seeking. However, I'd like to know that if you were given the opportunity to give up your position to any other player in the game, who would it be and why. Good luck to the both of you. Thanks
BRANDON'S RESPONSE: I would give my seat up to you because you and i
have had a aliance for along time and that was are original plan you
and i in
the final 2
SUE'S RESPONSE: Wow good question...I would have to say you ( and its not because you are asking and then you say well then why not let me go to the final two..well its in my blood to do my best in a GAME.( and I am sure Brandon will say the same)..for me..you were there at the swap; however brief and at times it bothered me that you didnt really come back to talk with me ever..however I knew you were there and watching particularly close to everything...and well you did have a chance to vote me out and you didnt..and I knew it must have crossed your mind..lol...as it did others I am sure..but I just always kinda new from those first few days of the swap that you, me and brandon had an unspoken trust (that's the way i saw it anyhow)
WILL'S SECOND QUESTION: Secondly, you know that to win this game, you must win the votes of the jury as a whole, but in order to do so, you need to acquire the vote of each jury member as an individual. That said, I'd like to know not why you think you should be the Sole Survivor, not why you think the jury should choose you as the Sole Survivor, but why I should give you my individual vote. What have you done for, with, or to me that you feel would merit my vote.
BRANDON'S RESPONSE: We had a aliance together ,I kept you up to date with talk of the tribe and told you about changes in the way every one is going to vote.
SUE'S RESPONSE: Well I believe we had an unspoken alliance (sorry if I used wrong words some people dont even want to associate themselves with me in this game) - I believe you and I understood eachother probably more then most and yet really never talked ..i believe you ..like me ..waited to see how things would pan out...and i never really totally planned one way more then the other i did have my ideas on several ways and well when Brandon asked me to save him..(that is when Mikey went and well Brandon said he would take me to a final two with him for saving him and i thought well i can get alot farther this way then the other) I was like OK..but till then I was like dam those two they wouldnt even talk with me..but then i was like..ok calm down sue ..they are there in the end.. its funny cause we didnt really need to talk in this game...yet i did an awful lot of it..
MIKE'S QUESTION: Sue listen up. From the very first day I talked to you and I heard about all of your troubles in your tribe I tried to help you as best I could by
giving some advice. It was not really helpful because you are Sue and
play your "own" way but..I was with you through it. You are an excellent
player to an extent because you question everything and think all of your
strategy out. At the swap I tried my best to get you to be on our side but for
some reason you just let Kim have your place at the swap. I tried to help
you out but instead you braved the battle with Hayley and Matt. This was to my advantage to have you on my side but I wanted to help you through the game with me. You were the first to know I formed an alliance with Missy and Corey even before Nick. You joined Missy, Corey, and I in an OFFICIAL alliance because we were all in a chat box and agreed so technically you backstabbed them too but that is not illegal. I am open to any play in the game but you really backstabbed me. We had been playing together the whole game and you backstabbed me. First, I suspect you went after my first ally and got Eve to take down Missy. You knew you could not defeat Corey
and I with Missy. Then you went out of your way to make sure I got the boot. (true i always new that you missy and cory would stick together for sure to the end..and yes that was definitely a problem in a game where its called Survivor...i did not put eve up to gettin Missy..that was all Eve's idea and i was quite frankly shocked that she was comin up with a plan albeit too late to suit anything i had planned in the game -but you may think what you want. I am still shocked that Will actually planned to take out Missy by picking her first when those two tribes were picked..it was definitely quite a move and i actually didnt think you originally picked her to get rid of her (did you???) I can’t blame you because you were not going to win. I even laughed because you did such a good job of voting me out - imagine that. There are no rules that say you can’t lie so go for it. It does not always feel good to get REALLY backstabbed but it is not a big deal. The other jury members can’t hold you up to their beliefs that you should not lie you are so GOOD at it.
NOW…Brandon I honestly don’t think you played much of a game and when
compared to Sue you are not even visible. She was ultimate, analyzing
backstabbing you name it…but you were there and played. I think your
opening statement is a little SUCK UP but that is okay. Everyone plays
it differently. It just makes my eye twitch when I see such a mess of
suckupyness. Questions are - Besides being there Brandon, I want to know
what strategy moments did you have because Missy told you who to vote for
every time it seemed like before merge?
Sue why o why? I know this was your only chance to win but was it
really worth it to backstab? I just got the knife out of my back the other day…it
was deep. Good Luck Playas’ ‘twas a fine game and the weird thing it when I was voted off it was the most exciting part one more thing for clearing up - sue never humped eve’s leg and I have the right to call Sue one Wicked Bitch
BRANDON'S RESPONSE: My strategic moments to tell you the truth when i asked missy who we are voting for when she told me i was thinking about ways that would help me in the future, and when we switched tribes way back then i knew that you corey and missy had a aliance and i knew me will and eve would have to stop it and once that next switch happened that was are key to strike so we voted missy then after we lost eve we convinced sue to vote with will and i .other then that i went bye my morales
SUE'S RESPONSE: Well I dont really count it as a backstab..lol...i mean i had no first choice..i knew Brandon and Will were back to some degree and Cory had three votes ..and you had none...so why not vote you then? i mean if there was a tie the next round...I would have had only one vote on me (cause i won that one challenge where i got to remove two of my votes) and cory had three votes and brandon had two..so in any combo of a tie..i would have won with the exception of Will and you...and so it was you...the vote makes sense to me...and the two peoploe that i feel saved me in that swap long ago..well to me they deserved my trust..they could have took me out so easily..(as could have you..i just had to hang on..lol and not make you too too suspicious..cause i know you are almost as watchful as me.) (yes he does..lol..but you took that line from Eve..so you need ot think up another one)
SEAN'S QUESTION: Hey Guys my question is what two personality traits got you to the final two?
BRANDON'S RESPONSE: The 2 personality trait i think are kindness and careing
SUE'S RESPONSE: Being inquisitive and adventuresome.
MICHAEL'S QUESTION: ok, to brandon, why didn't you save me and bring me and sean to the final 4? instead you waited until a LONG time and made an agreement with Sue. To Sue, you had an alliance with Missy Corey and Mike the whole time! you liar! you said I was the only one you trusted! My question to you is, why dont you have some respect? instead you just say "oh ill vote for you just because I know your going" scond of all, my name isnt tamakwa, its MICHAEL.
BRANDON'S RESPONSE: The reason i didnt bring you to the final 4 is i didnt know you and sean as well as i should have known you guys, the reason i made a deal with sue is because she was will and mines last chance to get in the final 2 she had a deal with mike and corey before me and will.
SUE'S RESPONSE: You were at that point in the game the only one i trusted..but unfortunately that was not gonna get me anywhere because you did not make any friends anywhere else to help yourself.. I can 't be responsible for your lack of intiative in these things or unsuccessfulness at it...why dont i have some respect?.(.i didnt know it was a prerequisite for the game..of survivor.).and i actually do have alot of respect for myself and others..I was not in a position in this game to help any one out in this game and that is a fact..nothin i could say were gonna change the way the votes were going...and it appears nothing you could say would change that either..i mean why does everyone blame me..its called you can help yourself !! I really played the game as it was DEALT to me and that did require ME to make alot of changes here and there and listening and so i did...I made alot of these changes and thoughts by myself..with not alot of corrresponding with anyone..just my own thoughts..and i acted on them..
As Michael took his seat, Adam smiled and glanced at the Final Two. "Brandon, Sue..." he began. "You have stood up to the jury's questioning- now you have one last chance to take the jury's vote. Brandon, you're first."
BRANDON'S CLOSING STATEMENT: This has been a great game and a very good one as well with many twists and
turns and cool challenges. Good luck to all of you in the future I hope to talk with you all again, Good luck at this last tribal council Sue,Bye.
Sue simply shook her head and shrugged when Brandon finished, so Adam looked up at the jury and smiled. "You've come a long way," he said. "And this is the end of the road. It is now time to vote for who you think should be the winner of Survivor: Balkhash. Michael, you're up first."
Michael walked up to the voting booth slowly, knowing that this was the most crucial moment of the game. He finally reached his piece of parchment and picked up the marker. Slowly taking the cap off, he wrote "SUE", held up his vote, and said: "Brandon, you aren't kindness or "careing" (mind you you cant spell) you took no time to answer he questions! I can tell! Sue, you ARE the ultimate survivor, you did everything you could to stay in the game, and I think you deserve this. good job."
Mike and Corey were the next two to vote, both writing down their votes quickly and striding back confidently to the jury's bench. Eve was the next to vote...
As Eve reached the booth, she wrote "BRANDON" in big letters on her card and smiled. Holding her parchment up to the camera, she said, "This is more an anti-Sue vote, but you do deserve it. For myself: No regrets in this game whatsoever. Its been fun. Bye."
Will was next to vote, and he strode to the booth and paused. He scratched his chin for a slight moment, then quickly wrote down "BRANDON" on his piece of parchment. As he folded it to put in the urn, he said, "Hopefully, Brandon, you didn't even have to worry about getting my vote. Regardless of whether or not Sue played a better game, my loyalties to you remain strong, as I'm sure yours would have for me."
Sean was next to vote, followed by Missy. Missy picked up the marker and hesitated for a second- but soon wrote down "SUE" in large letters. "My vote is for SUE. She just really played the game." She walked slowly back to the jury's bench, knowing that her vote was the last- it was time to find out the winner of Survivor: Balkhash. Adam gave a barely-noticable smile, and said, "For the last time with all of you- I'll go tally the votes." Sue and Brandon were fidgeting nervously as Adam brought out the urn from the voting booth. As he pulled out the first piece of parchment, he smiled. "First vote..."
