1992年投入服務、為數共300輛的富豪B10M第三型巴士,可謂大大提高了新捷運的服務質素:它們一方面取締了年事漸高的舊單層巴士,另一方面為新加坡這個熱帶城市,帶來更多的空調巴士服務。B10M第三型巴士跟之前的第二型比較,除了附設超卓或富士空調設備外,更統一使用都普車身,而其動力則由一台中置的富豪THD101GC引擎供應,傳動系統則沿用ZF 4HP500。

    A total of 300 Volvo B10Ms Mk3 came to service in 1992, which has played an important role in improving the standard of bus service: They were employed to replace the old single-deckers. In addition, the new buses have provided more air-con services in Singapore with tropical climate. Compared with B10M Mk2, the whole Mk3 fleet is equipped with air-conditioning system either supplied by Sutrak or Fuji. The bodywork is solely supplied by Duple Metsec. New buses are powered by Volvo THD101GC engine mounted between the first and the rear axle, with ZF 4HP500 transmission system.

SBS615C是過境路線170號的"字軌車"之一;行走此路線的巴士,需在馬來西亞登記,並需在車尾安裝附加的剎車燈。
