Yugi is the main villian in Tenchi In Tokyo, which isn't saying much because she's just a screwed up little kid (looks about 6-8) who's bent on taking over the world...aren't they all? No, seriously...Yugi is a naive and scared little mutant girl who was created on planet Jurai. Scientists there were trying to create a superhuman person with strong psychic abilities that could nearly rival the Emperess of Jurai. Their result was Yugi. They could not control her, however, and her powers got out of control.
No one wanted to play with Yugi, so she started to create her own "friends", but to everyone else they were giant monsters. While she was 'playing' she nearly destroyed Jurai so the Emperess had no choice but to seal her up in a tomb (cold sleep) and launch the tomb into deep space where it would hopefully land on an inhabited planet. Unfortunatly, Yugi's tomb landed on Earth where after sleeping for years, an earthquake cracked her chamber open waking her from her slumber. She was captured during the 27th year of Hennissay (ok, so I can't spell, but that's what it says in the series).
Yugi's pretty much a mystery and I really don't know WHY she wants to control the Earth...I guess she just wants to have her own play place with a lot of people or she just wants to cause pain to others because of went she's been through...I dunno. Anyway, she takes interest in the Masaki's because Tenchi's mother's gems yield the power to call a sword which could stop her. She could not take over the Earth unless this sword's power would go byebye. This is why she created Sakuya; her shadow. Her purpose is to make Tenchi fall in love with her and weaken the bond between Tenchi and the girls. Three other of Yugi's creations play this part too; Matori, Tsugaru, and Hotsuma.
Yugi has blue eyes, blonde hair, and she befriends Sasami. This is why when she attacks the Masaki shrine she draws Sasami away so she will not be hurt. Sasami is Yugi's only real friend so she invites Sasami to come stay with her forever. When Sasami declines Yugi gets pissed and disappears. Yugi can split herself into two, but doing so she weakens her power (duh because it's divided). When we see Yugi she lives in a Crystal world it seems and she's kind of like stuck in her own little world with little crystals respresenting the Masaki's (of course the girls are appart of the Masaki family) and Sakuya. She's also always seen floating in this...thing...Anyways, only read on if you want to know how In Tokyo ends! *SPOILER WARNING*
Okay, since Yugi is just a scared little misguided mutant Tenchi doesn't kill her. Instead he slaps her and then comforts her and she goes to sleep in the cave where Ryoko/Washu was locked in the OVA/TV Series until she can learn to be a better person. Awww, sweet huh? Some people like Yugi because she doesn't just barge in and try and kill everyone...but I personally think Tenchi In Tokyo is dumb as so's Yugi. YUGI FANS don't kill me, pwease!! I mean she creates the stupidest little bad guys (pry because she's a lil kid) and can you please think of a better ending then *smack* you should be nicer to people??? THE WHOLE SWORD THING IS POINTLESS! Oh well...if you like Tenchi In Tokyo...power to ya!
