The four Generals
Jadeite, Neflyte, Zoicyte and Kunzyte/Malachite
These four guys (um, except Zoicyte is a girl in the DiC version) used to be Prince Endymion's most faithful servants, but they were taken in by the power of Metallia and turned to evil. Since Metallia has the power to turn her vanquished ennemies to stone, that's what happens to them. They then continue to serve and watch over their master, for example, Kunzyte is the one to tell Endymion Metallia's weakpoint or them saving him from death by taking the blow of the Ginzuishou sword. They never return to life, reamining ghosts in their rock forms, but we see them often after the first serie. In the past, also, each of them was in love with one of the senshi (or so the pictures tell, we really are sure about the Kunzyte/Venus relationship, and the Jadeite/Rei one gets hints)(manga story). In the anime, they are only one serie characters (unfortunately). They still work for Beryl and arrive in the same order as the manga: Jadeite, Neflyte, Zoicyte and Kunzite. They are also always evil. There is a love relationship between Zoicyte and Kunzite too^^ (um, that's why they made Zoi a gall in the DiC dub). There goals, stories and deaths will now be told seperately to you.
Jadeite
Jadeite is the first general to face the SailorSenshi. He's 18 years-old and is a of a serious type. He's the headman of the Far East branch of the Dark Kingdom.
In the manga, he's in charge of gathering energy (he sent the fake Naru mom and the fake teacher) and find the Ginzuishou. After sending those two minions, he goes himself. He's the one who drives the bus to the other dimension. He takes Rei hostage and is able to crystalize Mercury's fog! But then Sailormoon uses her MoonFrisbee on him and he is trapped by Luna. Mars transforms and kills him with an ofuda (magic charm). He returns, accompanied by the other generals, various times throuout the series.
In the anime. He has to gather energy and for that sends various youma (in the DiC dub, he's also called Jed a lot). But failure after failure, Queen Beryl begins to be impatient, so he comes up with the "ultimate plan". He lures the senshi to an airport to kill them. TuxedoKamen comes to their rescue and they fight! Jadeite wins!! But then..well..he's crushed by a plane...
So he returns to Beryl to report (and ask her to give him another chance). But she's not patient and puts him in an "eternal sleep (in DiC at least, I'm not sure about the original version).

Neflyte
Neflyte is the second general to appear and fight against the senshi. He's 19 years-old and he can read in a crystal ball (in the manga) or in the stars (in the anime). he's the person in charge of the North American branch of the Dark Kingdom.
In the manga, he has to get the Ginzuishou. He first tries to steal the treasure of the D kingdom, by taking over the princess with his shadow. But Sailormoon dissolves it with "Moon Twilight Flash". His second plan involves a lot of puppets. But unfortunately for him, he appears! The newly arrived SailorJupiter uses a Flower Hurricane to blinden him and kills him with a strike of lightning! (thus panicking the remaining generals a bit). He also comes back once in a while as the good Neflyte to help his prince.
Now in the anime. He drives around in his red sport car, passing for the millionaire Masato Sanjoin(called Maxfield Stanton in the dub). He charms many young girls and even lures a bit of boys. He finds poeple that are at the peek of their energy and uses that to, well, get energy for Metallia. But! Poor guy (kind of...) He is love struck! And the object of his affection is none other than...Naru! The walking badguy target! Zoicyte, who already didn't like him much, gets him killed and steals the rainbow crystal finder from him too. So he dies a painful and very sad death (I'm sure all Neflyte and Naru fans cried!)

Zoicyte
Zoicyte is a very special man! He was turned in to a girl in the DiC dub! So when I'll talk about the anime, I'm going to say she, alright? (I didn't see any Zoicyte episodes in Japanese) So Zoicyte is the third general to appear. He's around 16 or 17 years-old. He's like Kunzite's little brother(or is it disciple?) Oh! and she's his boyfriend! He's the headman of the European branch of the Dark Kingdom.
In the manga he has to find the Ginzuishou. For that, he dresses as Professor Izono, a specialist in Ginzuishou research (and a woman too!) He sucks the energy out of poeple from their televisions! The poeple of Tokyo are quickly drained. But Sailormmon comes to the rescue again. Zoicyte disappears and Sailormoon heals the poeple back to their feet. His second plan consist of brainwashing tapes. They make everyone want to kill Sailormoon...but she heals them. Then Zoicyte appears and grabs Sailormoon from behind. The senshi shoot their powers at him, but he easily sends them back. He then intends to kill Sailormoon with a big..um...crystal. Oh! But SailorV comes to her rescue! Artemis breaks the crystal and Zoicyte is shred to pieces by V's Crescent Boomerang. Oh! Even though he dies now, it's not the last of him we see! In fact, he is the only general who (somehow) comes back alive as an important caracter! he once again dresses up as a woman in "Casablanca Memory" where he is a pianist. He wanted to get revenge for Jadeite (here we see the hint that there was at least a little bit of relationship between the senshi and the generals, as Kaido looks like Jadeite.) He then redisappears. Oh yeah, and we see him with the other crystal boys.
Now in the anime. She appears the first time in the episode where Jadeite "dies" and wants to take Neflyte's place. She's the one who orders to have him killed (and succeeds). Zoicyte is probably the first serie villain that has the most hate:Neflyte, the senshi, Tuxedo Kamen (a lot), she doesn't like Beryl a lot either...But she does love Kunzite, her mentor and lover. This general's mission was the very important task of finding the Seven Rainbow crystals and the Ginzuishou. Those crystals hold a lot of power! Unfortunately, she doesn't live long enough to have another mission... She attacks all seven of the crystal carriers, but Tuxedo Kamen and the senshi get some of them! She tries to get them from the senshi but Tuxedo Kamen takes it instead. Zoicyte dresses as a fake (but more efficient^^;;) Sailormoon to lure Tuxedo Kamen. With the help of Kunzite, the senshi are trapped in a bubble and the only way her love will free them is if Tux Boy gives them the crystal...but SailorV saves the day. So she invites Cape Boy "to the Starlight Tower at 5" so they can make an exchange. She promises Beryl not to hurt him though...but she'll just tell her it was an accident. So Usagi gets caught in the thing by following Mamoru, fortunately for him. Zoicyte makes them run for their life and lets them chat a while in an elevator. Before they get to the top however, she throws them a fireball, getting Sailormoon to transform! Zoicyte manages to trick and kill Tux nonetheless and produces the birth of the Ginzuishou. Serenity uses it and weakens our gal greatly. Kunzite saves her. Beryl is mad because Zoicyte broke her promise and kills her.

Kunzite/Malachite
Kunzite is the fourth and last of the four generals. He's the tallest, the strongest and most important of them too. His costume is the only one to be different, sporting shoes instead of boots, a cape, a different collar and opening it a bit in front. He has a very calm personnality but when he's mad it's scary! This headman of the Middle Eastern part of the Dark Kingdom is around 25-26 years-old. (PS, again, talking of Zoycite in the DiC dub will be with "she"s)
In the manga, Kunzite doesn't appear until Neflyte's death (see above), he gives tips to Zoicyte until he dies himself, when our white-haired generals gets into the action. His mission, of course, is to get the Ginzuishou, but he swears to kill the Princess (at that time, Venus) and Sailormoon. So praising the beauty of darkness, he takes out every light in Tokyo. The senshi arrive and Kunzite absorbs their attacks...and multiplying them by 100, threatens to shott it at Tokyo (thus destroying it). Sailormoon shields the senshi, but she's the one being shot at...except Tuxedo Kamen takes the hit...and dies. The past is then remembered and the Ginzuishou is born again! Kunzite also remembers his past. They were looking for their prince when Metallia took their souls and turned their bodies into stones. He disappears with Mamoru, which will then be turned into Beryl's puppet. Wandering around the castle, he discovers and spies on Beryl and Metallia, discovering her weakpoint! Beryl knows that he's become aware of the trick, she awakens the stone in him and takes control once more. His new missions is to lure Sailormoon and get energy for Metallia. OUr general starts to cover Tokyo with ice (containing the bodies and energy of it's inhabitants)and succeeds in luring the senshi. However, they take the battle to space, where the protectors' attacks are more powerful. Against Sailormoon's will, as she wanted her Endymion back, the senshi destroy Kunzite with a powerful Sailor Planet Attack. Kunzite will come back later at Mamoru's side, helping him, watching over him with the other generals, but also telling him (and Sailormoon)Metallia's weakpoint.
Anime Kunzite is full of DiC nicknames! Blondie's probably my favorite, as his hair isn't blonde^^;; This time Kunzite appears a bit before Neflyte's death. In the anime, Kunzite is both Zoicyte's mentor and lover (always giving him tips, but still the love^^). He was with Zoicyte when she broke her promise to beryl, telling her not to be too hasty. He was the one to take all the rainbow crystals (which then flew away to form the Ginzuishou). However, he couldn't save his lover. She dies in his arms even when he has also pleaded for ther life. As opposed to the manga, where Endymion was his master, Kunzite is a bit angry about having to work with "Prince Darien". Throughout the episodes before his death, Kunzite sends various youma to watch him and (sometimes) foil his plans. But that angers Beryl, and doesn't seem to affect the evil prince more (as he was the one to partly beat the youma sent after Sailormoon before as well^^;;). Unfortunately, he has to die forever in the anime. He meets the senshi as they are entering a cave in the North Pole. They're having a bit of trouble when he decides to throw them his 2 flying pink energy boomerangs...which Sailormoon sends back, thus killing him...
